The restaurant is beautifully furnished. With interesting paintings and a nice welcoming and cozy atmosphere. But the nice welcoming atmosphere of the place itself changed once the waiting staff greeted us, not giving us a table just “pick the one that’s free”. That was not the issue. The thing started afterwards. Once seated, we saw the unorganized staff doing their work. These are normally mistakes from new waiter, forgetting tables, just picking the one that’s closer to you. But all of them didn’t had a structured way of working. And I don’t think all of them were new. They handed the menu to couple, and I’m really saying boldly COUPLE because it’s not one but it were COUPLE tables who arrived after us. Being left unnoticed for what seemed like an eternity, we waited until one of the waiter came closer telling us that we’re going to be served. Minutes pass by and we still haven’t gotten anything to drink and no menu. While the tables that came after us already got their drinks and food we were still waiting to be served. We ordered our food (little choice of food in the menu) and another table arrived 20 minutes later, placing their order in a fast fashion and getting their food before we even got ours. I know how restaurants work. The things that are faster to prepare come first which is logic but we ordered the same dish and we got our food way more later than them. Once the dish was served the plates looked like gourmet food. Gourmet food in the sense of tiny portions for a very small hunger. We looked at the plate and we just glanced at each other shaking our heads. We got tiny bites of food for that expensive price. The food represented the unorganized chaotic service of the waiting staff, it wasn’t tasty. We just wanted to eat and leave and never show up ever again. The place is a typical tourist spot, where no heart is being put to represent the image of the restaurant. It’s just a serve and go, like in fast food restaurants. I don’t recommend it at all. Get out of the busy spots if you want to eat...
Read moreMy wife and I just loved this place. Where to start? The food is AMAZING. We started with "The artichoke," "stewed cooked artichoke, blue cheese foam and crunchy artichokes." Subtle, delectable. For main courses we shared (1) beef brisket stewed 36 (!) hours with mashed potatoes and red wine sauce, and (2) Sardinian ravioli, "handmade culurgiones filled with potatoes and mint (pillowy delight!), with fresh mussels and saffron sauce." Both elegantly presented and delicious. As an added bonus, most of the ingredients were from Sardinia. Rounded out the meal with a wonderful mocktail and an very serviceable Sardinian .375 bottle of red wine. The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful, spending much time discussing the food and recommended personal-favorite side trips in Sardinia. We were the only tourists in the joint -- many locals enjoying joyful family time together. Oh, yeah, and a local desert I can't remember what it was called but it doesn't matter because I'm sure you can't...
Read more10/10!!!! Service was organised. We were walking past and one of the waiters/ servers asked what we wanted on their menu. We had been walking past many places and this was the first time where we were asked, not to say we needed it but it was nice.
We sat down and immediately someone else came with cutlery and menus, a few minutes later our order was taken. Another came out with bread and our food and drinks came out in like 7-10 min max.
The food was SO DELICIOUS. We had the slow cooked beef and salmon salad. Yum, yum, yum. The vibe is good, servers were all energetic, answering questions.
If it matters we are people of color and were treated the same and with respect as everyone. The team is also diverse and the Manager or lead was just great. I wish I ate there for...
