Ex Tipografia — Restaurant in Cagliari

We came here to enjoy a delicious breakfast, but ended up leaving with a headache, it was quite noisy outside so we asked to be seated inside. To our surprise it was even noisier inside.

“The bar” made so much noise while washing dishes, making coffee (constant hammering), throwing bottles. We understand that some things cannot be done quietly, however this was something else entirely. To give an example it sounded like someone was SLAMMING a teacup into a plate constantly.

They also made some weird choices, my partners egg was served on the «crust end» or the «heel/end” of the bread. Which to me is weird for a restaurant to do.

The positive sides is that the restaurant plays wonderful music, has lovely visuals and good food (when they do not make sloppy mistakes) however this gets overshadowed by the problems...

We came for breakfast and the quality of service, food and coffee was very bad. we were waiting quite long until someone came to take our order glasses were dirty(!) coffee taste was not good at all compared to others in Cagliari the bread of our two dishes was not fresh, not toasted, not seasoned and was soaked the cream „guacamole“ appeared to be a convenience product with a very neutral taste, no avocado pieces, no seasoning, absolutely inadequate for the high price the scrambled eggs were the worst I ever had, they were served cold, super dry and tasted as they were the rest from yesterday scratched out of the pan we ordered a bottle of water which we did not get but which was charged in the end

All in all: we cannot recommend this place as you get very poor quality for a...

We went here for breakfast twice during our stay in Cagliari. While the coffee and the croissants are very good and the service extraordinarily friendly, the savoury breakfast options were disappointing.

We tried their approach on Eggs Benedict and it was missing the distinct flavour of decadence that you would expect. The spinach was boiled rather than fresh and leafy and the hollandaise was almost absent in flavour and amount. Also the Carbonara-styled scrambled eggs could benefit from a bit more flavour instead of the careless spread of irrelevant salad leaves.

Overall I would recommend going here for an Italian breakfast at any time. Also other sweet breakfast options were looking...
