VIOLET Lounge Bar — Local services in Cagliari

Guy pushed us in with all of the talk, but we thought fine we'll see. Drinks were fine, but then we ordered food. One from my group ordered the 'poker' of 4 pastas. It was in fact 4 raviolis on a plate which were far from fresh. I ordered a pinse (similar to pizza) which was mostly bread. My other companion ordered the special, the risotto. To call this porridge is to oversell this. It was burnt and tasted horribly. The burgers were laughably undercooked and the fries only came after asking, And were also undercooked and not fries but potato slices. We were looking for somewhere to have lunch and liked the look of violet. So glad we stopped. The waiters English was impeccable and the service was spot on - just enough attention without being intrusive. We had a lovely (light) lunch including a trio of smoked fish, a lovely salad, small pizza and some good olives. This meal ended up a highlight of our day trip to Cagliari….

Oh and the sign in the ladies recommending that you put nothing down the toilet including goldfish and your hopes and dreams made me...

Worst restaurant ever! Coming to Italy, the minimum you could expect is to get a tasty homemade pinsa and not one made with a frozen toast (shame on you).
