1 star for the flexibility of the staff, since I couldn't eat all the antipasti they made two separate for me which I really appreciate.
1 star because the food was okey, some of the dishes were very good. Maybe my expectations where set to high cause of previously written reviews.
Antipasti: very interesting, I really liked the culurgionis which was full of cheese. The panadine where delicious and so where the surprise meatballs. Unfortunately the stufato di maiale was extremely dry which is a pitty cause the sauce was really good. My husband pointed this out to one of the chefs who told him that he was aware of this and apologised. You must really hate your customers if you serve them food that you know is to dry...
Main courses: good but nothing special. I dont understand the strawberries on the ravioli? They don't add anything and are just a weird element that doesn't belong.
Menu: there is no meny, everyone eats the same dishes which I find extremely weird since this is typical for agriturismo (which this obviously wasn't especcialy given the really small portions).
Dessert: we got 4 small desserts of different types to share on two. They were really delicious all four of them. But I just wonder what you will get if you chose to dine alone? Will you only get two? In that case you won't be able to taste them all which is a pity.
Service: When I asked the waitress what Primi they had she just answered "due primi" as if it was obvious. For me it was weird since I thought we could chose 2 primi from a list of primi. I dont have anything against the "no menu policy" which some restaurants use since they change menu on a daily basis based on for example the catch of the day, but this is just the same menu for everyone. Everyday.
Summary: a restaurant that serves food that is a bit more refined than the food of an agriturismo but with portions of a Michelin star restaurant (without that wow sensation to the palate). My husband was still hungry after we left and even I could've eaten more to be honest. So given this the price is actually unreasonably high for...
Read moreAbsolutely incredible food, wine and service. Best value fine dining in Cagliari.
I don't usually write reveiws, but have been to this restaurant about 10 times now, and every time, the experience is consistently exceptional.
I found out I have an intolerance to quail eggs and (maybe) prickly pears, and every time I came back, Andrea made sure that every dish was still perfect for me. Only REAL chefs who care about their customers do this. I even proposed to my fiance here, and Andrea was happy to make it unforgettable!
+amazing prices +great tasting degustation menu +great presentation +best pasta in Cagliari +highest quality fresh produce +all staff are friendly, helpful +relaxed environment: not pretentious +great wine
