The decor is nice and seemed like a romantic spot but the service, ambiance, and food were so-so. The waitress was polite enough but very limited interaction, she stopped coming over and missed basic stuff like asking if we wanted more wine or coffee and dessert. It was dead silent for 3/4 of the meal until the waitress put on some soul music that was cut off every time her phone rang. The music did not help the atmosphere. We ordered arancino (delicious), salmon carpaccio (pretty good), linguine with tuna (ok), and linguine alla norma (ok). The norma had a decent light tomato sauce, the fried aubergine was tasty but a little too salty, and there were mountains of salty cheese on the aubergine which overwhelmed the dish. I do not recommend Vite. The servers were rude and the food was mediocre. Several of us in our tour group of fifteen were disappointed with the included wines. So I went to the bar and picked up a wine list so that we could order (and pay for) bottles at the table. A server came up to me, grabbed the wine list out of my hands, and removed it to the kitchen so that nobody could look at it. I have never seen anything like that before.
