Tatiana Melfa Restaurant & Bakery (Cefalù) — Restaurant in Cefalù

I wanted to try a restaurant more authentic in the Sicilian cuisine and was so happy to find this little gem. The food was excellent. Large portions, reasonably priced. We wanted to try all the desserts!!! We had the tiramisu, cannoli and pistachio cheesecake. The cheesecake was the best dessert we had in Italy. My daughter said she will return to Cefalù just for the cheesecake. I wish we took photos of the main meal. We started with seafood antipasto. Quite the plate. Fresh and delicious. My husband had pizza, my daughter and I had pesto pasta. The garden seating was beautiful and we truly felt we were in Sicily. It was nice to be away from the crowded area. The restaurant is a family run business. The owner was pleasant and we enjoyed talking to him about the bakery/restaurant. Avoid this Place!!!

The whole experience was an absolute disaster and a disgrace. The Place is Not that bad and the waiters were friendly. We ordered steak - medium - and we got served RAW meat. Besides that the quality was very low. After we demanded the chef to throw our meat again in the pan to cook it to medium we got it back after a while. The Problem? It was still raw. So we asked to cook it again. And unfortunately we got it served another time wrong, but this time well done an chewy, on top of that they forget to bring out forks and knives back. The owner did not apologise and searched for excuses. The experience as a whole was a shock and an nightmare. At the end the price was not lowered and we left this cursed place with a devastated and tortured face.

Honestly - hands down the BEST cookies I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious!

We had the big ones - chocolate with a gooey, crunchy pistachio centre - unreal!! And also the double chocolate - perfect.

Soft, but with a crunch. Fluffy, but dense. Sweet but not too sweet.

You can tell that they are made by a true baker and that the ingredients are great quality!

I always get sucked in by good-looking cookies, trying to find the perfect one, but they always disappointed. THESE are perfection!

I couldn’t stop thinking about them and had to go back. I will come back to Cefalu purely for these and a mackerel sandwich from La Cefalù Nostrana. Happiness!
