This is a really tiny sandwich shop conveniently located on the way to Piazzale Michelangelo. A good sign was locals were enjoying the food, wine and nice weather sitting outside of the shop. Everyone was very friendly. The sandwiches are no longer €5 and are now €7 which is understandable with the recent wave of inflation. I ordered the #4 Maremma Maiala (Porchetta, melanzane and salsa verde). I added arugula with fresh tomatoes and that really hit the spot. I was going to add cheese but he quickly told me that Porchetta doesn’t match well with cheese. I took his advice and didn’t add it. Great snack for the easy hike up to the piazzale. One tip. They close relatively early so get the sandwich on the way up to the Piazzale because if you wait until after sunset on the way back down, they will be closed. One note for those who are sensitive about food safety and handling. The person making our sandwich did not wear gloves while preparing the panini. I didn’t have any issues but know many people out there might want to know this.

This place is AMAZING! Super friendly guys who make a damn good sandwich. And so affordable (€5 per sandwich)! The bread is perfect, meat and cheese portions perfect, and the presentation.. you guessed it, perfect! I really think these (#1 & #2) were the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. We were fortunate enough that our Airbnb was right next door, so we stopped in a few times. I will miss this place!

I had tried many different sandwich shops in Italy. I am not sure why this store had high ratings. Their panini bread is so hard, I had to be very careful when eating, otherwise it could hurt my gum. The filings are also very few, when compared to paninis from other stores. For 5 euro, there are many other stores selling much better paninis for the same price.

This is a bit of a late review, as I haven't been there in two years. But anyway...

If you are looking for a great sandwich in Firenze, Come Dio Comanda is the place to go. Some will tell you to go to All' Antico Vinaio. If you like waiting in line, then by all means, go there! But if you'd rather get in, order a blissfully good sandwich for about 5 euros, and then get out in under 5 minutes, then hear me out. It's a bit out of the tourist path, which is always a plus, and you can grab your bundle of sandwich love on your way to the Piazalle Michelangelo.

Every time I think about Firenze, I think about...

I did not even try the food because the rude owner yelled at me twice. I tried to order but He told me to wait. After he Sold paninis to Five other customers, I very politely asked if he forgot me but then he yelled at me I should have payed if I wanted to eat and repeated I would take up space. Maybe it was a misunderstanding but the way He blamed me for everything I never experienced before in Italy. He does not deserve any Star ! There were not even more than 2 customers...
