Gelateria Santa Maria novella — Restaurant in Florence

This gelateria is a gem in the beautiful Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. While it may not offer as many flavours as some other gelaterias in Florence, it’s worth noting that many of the tourist traps in the area are not worth the hype (or price). I stayed at a hotel across the park, so this was my go-to gelato place. They have a variety of delicious flavors and the workers are super fun. By the third time I went to the gelateria, when he went to hand me my gelato, he stuck it under where there was glass (but I didn't think that through) so I hit my hand against the glass. ...lovely ice cream and excellent service ...we bought an ice cream and went out to eat it, my child dropped it by accident - went in to buy another one and when the lady behind the counter realised she'd dropped her original ice-cream, she didn't even let us pay for the new one ...this was a lovely gesture which warmed my heart and made my child very happy that we have such nice people...
