If you're in Firenze for a few days then get out of the city for a more relaxing drink or snack by the river. The prices are much cheaper as these riverside bars are aimed at the locals. Il Tempo was great in the early evening and there're a few more similar places as you walk east...

Cracking quiet little place, pleasant views down the Arno river. Great service and some of the cheapest drinks around Florence. Plenty of tables in shady areas. Didn't eat here but the selection at the counter looked very appetising. Highly recommend...

Lots of locals, plenty of shade. A cherry cornetto and a rest by the river before moving on. Serves food alcohol too, local artist display there, not crowded, nice breeze off the river. Decent prices too. What's not to like

My favorite outdoor cafe. It’s self-service, which can sometimes lead to a bit of a wait in the evenings. But it's all worth it, especially in spring, when I love having a coffee and croissant with a view of the Arno River.
