La Sosta 111 — Restaurant in Florence

Being here on vacation we were exploring the streets looking for an authentic home experience. We decided to stop by as the atmosphere was drawing us in. And let me tell you that it was the correct decision. The service was immaculate!! The food was even better!! We decided to split the Bistecca alla Fiorentina and the Greek salad. After spending the day on a wine tour we weren’t going to get any wine with dinner but our server, I sadly didn’t catch his name, gave us a small sample to pair with the Bistecca alla Fiorentina and I’m thankful that he did. After having the Bistecca alla Fiorentina twice this trip I can assure you this is the place to go!! If you’re in town and looking for delicious food, along with an amazing experience this is your place!!! In the years to come I will definitely be returning to Florence and this establishment will be top on my list...

Absolutely fantastic dining experience at La Sosta 111! We’ve visited twice during our holiday, and each time has been a culinary delight.

We ordered the Allo Scoglio—incredibly flavourful and perfectly executed. The Gnocchi con Gamberi was well-seasoned, with that ideal chewy texture I love. Their pizza was light, airy, yet packed with flavour. The highlight? The T-bone steak, cooked medium rare to absolute perfection and beautifully seasoned.

Desserts were just as impressive: a rich and creamy non-alcoholic tiramisu, a refreshing wild berries pannacotta, and a divine crème brûlée—truly magnifique!

After a 12 hour day on a Tuscan wine tour, we were quite hungry and walked around Florence to find La Sosta opened. A great find! The T-bone steak was cooked medium rare as we asked, a bit on the rare side but it was so buttery and melt in your mouth, I didn’t mind. The potatoes were buttery and soft, with lovely hints of rosemary. The atmosphere was wonderful, we were able to catch an Inter game while we ate. The staff were wonderful, very helpful with describing portions for us. We were even offered free limoncello shots on the house. A very kind gesture that we accepted gladly. WiFi available, clean bathrooms, seating available indoors and outdoors....
