If you're going to Florence, hear me out: you really have to go to this restaurant! I was solo traveling and made a one-day stop in Florence, I didn't have the time to visit too much but how lucky I was to find this place. The food was incredible!

I think the most important thing in a restaurant is the service and feeling welcome, and this restaurant surpassed that. The young lady waitress was really kind, friendly and funny and she speaks Spanish! (Sé que si ella encuentra está reseña y ve que está escrita en inglés se va a volver a burlar de mi por no querer hablar mi lengua nativa jaja).

Days before I had a hard time with my travel, but that little time at the restaurant made me feel at home, like if I were back in Mexico, thanks to how warmth and nice everyone were, at the end I chatted with them and we joked around because the bartender thought I was Japanese and wanted to practice the japanese he learnt from animes with me, and they even helped me to put my Aperol Spritz in my thermo so I could keep it on my trip.

So yeah, sorry for the long review and for taking too long to write it (I visited this restaurant on October 6th), but after reading some bad reviews, I had to write my detailed experience because it seemed like those people went to a completely different restaurant that the one I went.

I hope to come back to Italy soon (hopefully in a couple of years haha) so I can try the specials and the desserts this time, have learnt a little bit more of Italian (and Japanese too, so I could speak with the bartender this time) and to see you all again!

(Btw, give the young lady...

Mostly a tourist trap. The food was low quality and over-priced. I ordered a caprese salad and it was just 3 slices of a tomato which was not fresh at all, a bad quality mozzarella and one very tiny leaf of basil. This cost around 10 euros. The pasta itself was well made but the sauce and the meat were terrible. Also, they charge too much on coperto and it doesn't offer quality at all. The place and the furnitures are very old or cheap for a restaurant that charges that much. The bathroom was in very bad condition. The only positive thing is that the lady that served us was nice. I strongly do not recommend. Please avoid it. It ruined our day.

And no, I am not confusing the place as the owner says in the reply ( I uploaded the photo that I took with its name after I left the restaurant in order to give it a review later because I was so disappointed). He just picked on the fact that at first I wrote at the ending that "it ruined our dinner". Dinner, lunch, meal, it doesn't matter. Yes, it was during the daylight and I should have said lunch. It seems he can't handle the reviews that actually uncover the bad things that are happening there. This says a lot about why some things are in this way if the owner replies in such manner, doesn't take accountability or even worse, as I saw in other replies of his, insulting the customer that made the...

Tourist trap restaurant! Don't go! I was there on Aug 06, the waiter brought me a menu with breakfast special, it doesn't have price. I ordered one of the breakfast on the menu - scrambled egg with toast. When my bill came, I was charged €27 for 3 pieces of toast and a scrambled egg. They also charged me €4 for a bottle of water which I did not order. I questioned the water and they took it off from my bill, but I was still charged €27 for the egg toast plus €3 table fee per person .

Update after the owner's feedback: The breakfast that I got was: scrambled egg toast, a cup of coffee, a cup of juice and waffles, total €47. Per the owner, the scrambled egg toast + coffee +juice is €27. Then I was charged €14 for the waffles while the menu indicates €8. If I had not read the bill, with the water, overcharged me €10.

The owner’s feedback also brought up my nationality, and I’m not sure what she meant by that. Is she implying that people from certain countries don’t care about what’s on the bill while others do? Or was it a subtle form of discrimination?

It seems that the owner can't handle the reviews that actually uncover the bad things that are happening there. Her reply was rude...

I came because it had good review on Google... really disappointing. I usually never disagree with Google reviews. I guess we had bad luck today? We wanted to have rather good pasta, and it was worse than what I could have done at home. We ordered the tagliatelle al ragu. The waiter gave us penne and told us (after we got the penne...) "sorry we are out of tagliatelle". Perhaps they thought since we were tourists we didn't know what tagliatelle looked like.... but when you are in Italy and you own a restaurant, how can you be out of tagliatelle, just go to a store and buy some? The staff were nice, but really... that's disappointing in Italy :/ And also, the sauce was not really good and the pasta had pretty bad presentation. It almost looked and tasted like high school cafeteria pasta... maybe I should have ordered something from secondi piatti.

Seriously, this little restaurant is our best find in Italy. We ordered more food than we could comfortably eat. As a resident of Japan, I believed that Kobe beef was the best in the world but this place opened my eyes to reality. I don't know how they achieve this but this was the best beef I have ever eaten. We also ordered pasta and a salad. Wine is available by the glass or bottle but there is also a full bar. The staff are friendly, fun, and professional. We are already considering going back tomorrow for breakfast.
