Good place with bad service. They only look on you like if you are a wallet full of money. In front of the restaurant there is a 3-types menu of the day that you can order. It has good prices and good things inside the menu. Once you get inside they give you another menu with prices 3 times bigger. If you don't know the language or simply decide not to ask, they will never give you the menu that once get you there. They are just looking if you'll get the bait. After we asked for the hidden menu the waiters started looking at us with a bad eye. Nobody come to get the orders for 15 minutes. At the end of the experience - me and a friend of mine had a promo menues, including 0.5ml water bottles in them. They gave us both only one bottle of 0.75ml (insted 1.0l). Another friend of mine that had ordered water bottle of 0.5ml did not receive what she wanted - insted of that she received a surprising bill including 3 euro for water that she never get! Also, the restaurant says "Tax free" on the outsise. On the inside, tho.. the things are quite different. I am just telling you this, guys, because if you are someone quite or just simply a good person on a vacation that has only happiness ans love on his mind, it is quite likely for people like them to get you so easily fooled. Be careful and enjoy your stay in...
Read moreA magnificent way to experience the taste of Florence.
I wanted to try a Florentine steak and my wife had dreams of finding a porcini mushroom risotto with truffle. We were absolutely delighted when we found a place advertising the Florentine steak plus the wonderful words of "Risotto con funghi porcini* e tartufo fresco"!
We had our 3 kids with us who all had pizza's which they thoroughly enjoyed. There were lots of great options across the board for the kids and i don't think we could of chosen badly.
The theatre of the Florentine steak was a lot of fun and it was delicious. The standout was definitely the rissotto, so much truffle and we love the flavour of truffle, especially with the mushrooms. This was one of the standout dishes we enjoyed in Italy.
And all this with the happy Florentine people getting about town and the spectacular Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore sitting there right next to you. It is truly amazing to enjoy a dinner in the company of such a world famous and unique site.
I can only say that you will not regret selecting this...
Read moreOriginally I was looking forward to another pizzeria nearby which unfortunately had closed so we decided to come here. At first sight it was clear that this was a tourist spot but I didnât really bother, especially because I was hungry. The Celiac menu was great and if it wasnât for the price (locationwise) I wouldâve ordered more but I got melon with prosciutto which was kind of disappointing because of the melon to ham ratio (less melon than ham). After that we had our pizzas and that was it for me: my pizza came without sauce. I know that pizza typically is a dish for making use of leftovers but it was basically just cheese and ham on dough whilst my boyfriend had a proper pizza (I think it was the last one on the celiac pizza menu) which in my opinion wasnât even really good. I really had to chew on the bread-like crust I had in front of me because as you can imagine it was really dry and I didnât eat up. Pretty disappointed considering that the restaurant is nominated by the Italian Celiac Group. So at least I canât recommend the pizza but...
