Absolutely fantastic family run restaurant. Operated by a couple and their daughter. We ate here twice and loved it both times. The scampi gnocchi was the best pasta I tasted in Florence. Was able to see her rolling the pasta by hand was the most authentic place I visited in Italy. Pizza was phenomenal as well. Quality fresh ingredients made in authentic oven. I told the owner I used to make pizza in NY and he showed me the oven and his station I was geeked out by seeing a true italian set up close. Even the house special dessert the daughter made was incredible. I loved this place and seeing this family at work. Definitely come here and enjoy this great food.
P.S Lachlan Kay is a fool for his negative review. I was actually there paying as I left when his encounter took place. Guy doesn't respect and understand these people do everything themselves. They prep the store during the day for dinner including cleaning and setting up all the tables for dinner service. The owner didn't want you to sit down and set up shop with your bags and stuff and mess up one of his clean tables. You didn't listen and then he yelled at you in italian because you are in an italian restaurant in Italy lol kind of ignorant on your part. Culture is different and Italians like things a...
Read moreWe came here around 9.30pm on a Saturday night, after a 10 hour day trip to multiple surrounding villages of Florence, we were just wanting something easy. As soon as we were seated the service was magnifico! We ordered the Fiorentina and Maialona pizzas and two limoncello Spritz, everything was superb, the pizza is not like anything we have had so far on our travels around Italy, the crust was crunchy, yet soft and all the toppings blended well together, we really enjoyed it, the pizzas were big too, I couldnt finish mine. The spritzas were refreshing and tasty, we also ordered 2 espressos just as they closed, they were happy to provide these to us. When paying the bill, we were chatting with the staff and were also offered 2 limoncellos to finish off our night. Everything was perfecto! The staff working were friendly, funny, attentive and happy to chat to us about where we're from and were patient with our italian language skills. A great place to stop for dinner if your visiting Florence, we would come back 10 more times! We didn't get the names of the staff working (a women, a man and a man cooking the pizzas) grazie a millie for your hospitality, this is the kind of service we think about when dining in Italy. Love...
Read moreAs a frequent visitor to Florence, I always make it a point to explore new dining experiences. However, one restaurant has captured my heart and become an essential part of my trips—it's simply unmissable. The food here is nothing short of heaven.
During my visits, I’ve indulged in the spaghetti con crema di ricotta di bufala, and it’s to die for. The combination of sun-dried tomatoes and the rich creaminess creates a dish that I literally dream about when I'm away from Florence. Each bite is a reminder of why I keep coming back.
On this latest trip, we tried both the margherita and marinara pizzas. Each pizza was bursting with flavor, and I found myself completely in awe of how good they were. It's hard to convey just how delicious everything is, but trust me—it's a culinary experience you don’t want to miss.
Beyond the exceptional food, the family that runs this restaurant is incredibly warm and welcoming. They make you feel like part of their family, and their passion for cooking shines through in every dish.
This restaurant has officially become my favorite in Florence, and I can't wait to return. Thank you for consistently making my trips so joyful!...
