'Osteria Al Vicolo Garda' — Restaurant in Garda

Absolutely must visit place in Garda! We have been to Garda a few times and I’ll never forgive myself for not discovering this place earlier. Everything is perfect about it:

1. the food is so excellent and disappears so fast , that we didn’t manage to take any pictures of it. If you like seafood and fish, go for one of the “menu” deals. The portions are huge and quality is amazing.
2. the staff are extremely friendly, especially to the kids. From making funny places, to building ships from table covers, from making “kids friendly aperol spritz” to doing everything possible to make the little ones happy.
3. they are located a bit off the touristic path. Let it not discourage you. The lake will always be there and you can take a stroll before or after the dinner. But the place has it’s ambiance and secret charm being a bit hidden from the main and loud streets. And that is also reflected in the prices: a bit cheaper too! 6 out of 5 for food, 10 out of 5...

We had seen the reviews for this restaurant and thought it was worth trying. My wife and I both had pasta dishes. Mine was Spaghetti Pomodoro Gamberetti it was “cucinato alla perfezione” the spaghetti was al dente exactly as it should be. There was just enough spices to make your tongue tingle but not too much, no water required 🙂. I have to say I enjoyed every mouthful and can’t wait to return to try another dish. It will definitely be sooner rather than later. The owner and his wife were very friendly, helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble to make your visit enjoyable and memorable. The order was amazing. We were staying at the western and they shut now the steeet because of a car racing show so you couldn’t get taxis. We walked to the resturant which was 20 minutes away. As we were ready to leave we ask about a taxi and she said it will be hard because it was a f i day night and it was raining well to no avail no taxi so when we were leaving the gentlemen came out with an umbrella for us to take to walk back to our hotel. I was so taken back of the kindness they showed. I would recommend this resturant 100 times. Thank you and thank you to our golf guide Marco. Great people here in Rome....
