We discovered Il Mannarino during our trip to Genoa, and it left such a strong impression that we went back a second time — and we would have gone again if we had more time! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a modern yet rustic charm that makes you feel instantly comfortable. The staff greeted us with a smile, were attentive without being intrusive, and most impressively, spoke excellent English, which made the whole experience so much easier for us as non-Italian speakers.
But the real star here is the food — especially the meat. Their selection is absolutely outstanding. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their cuts and how they’re prepared. Everything we tried was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. Whether you’re a fan of beef, lamb, or sausage, there’s something here that will blow you away. They also take the time to explain the different meats and make great recommendations based on your taste.
The sides and appetizers were just as impressive — fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. Pair that with a solid wine list and generous portions, and you have a meal that feels like a true culinary experience rather than just dinner.
It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right — food, service, atmosphere — but Il Mannarino delivers on all fronts. It’s the kind of restaurant that stays with you long after the meal is over. A must-visit in Genoa if you appreciate great meat, friendly service, and an all-around fantastic...

When we asked for a refill of bread, they brought the bread basket from another table, where the previous guests had already eaten half of the bread, because only the crust remained. When i finally got my starter it was not with a "tomato confit" as they advertised, but rather one half slice of a cherry tomato and one single grain of timian. All in all disappointing,...

With my wife we had lunch in this butcher's restaurant serving typical Italian and Puglia cuisine located in the center of Genoa next to Via XX Settembre and we sat at an internal table and the restaurant has two internal floors and also outdoor tables with a view on the way. When you enter you find yourself in front of a counter with a lot of variety of meat on display: you order a starter, side dishes, then the type of meat and sit at the table. At the beginning they brought us two meat crostini as a gift and then we ordered grandma's beef and pork meatballs, cooked all night in tomato sauce, then two slices of beef with green salad and grilled vegetables and finally a coffee. We were extremely satisfied with everything good, abundant, delicious. The staff were very kind, welcoming, smiling, competent and the service was very attentive and fast while the price was right for the quality...
