My recent visit to Caffetteria Mangini was an unexpected disappointment. Despite its historic charm and prime location overlooking a bustling, albeit noisy, piazza, several factors marred the experience.

First and foremost, the cafe's refusal to accept cash payments is both inconvenient and baffling. In an era where customer convenience is paramount, this outdated policy is a major drawback.

The service at Mangini is notably deficient. It is slow, with frequent forgetfulness and inaccuracies in orders. The waiting staff seem overwhelmed and inattentive, which is unacceptable for a venue of this caliber.

The quality of the food and beverages is mediocre at best and certainly does not justify the steep prices. It is simply too expensive for what is offered, making the overall experience feel like poor value for money.

Adding to the unpleasant experience is the cashier, who is both rude and unfriendly, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere from the moment you step in. This attitude is a stark contrast to the warm hospitality one expects from such a historic establishment.

Cleanliness is another neglected aspect. Tables were dirty, as were the cutlery, and chipped cups further detracted from the overall experience. These details, though small, are significant indicators of the establishment's overall lack of care.

While the setting of the cafe is undeniably attractive, offering a picturesque view of the lively piazza, these positive aspects are overshadowed by the numerous drawbacks. It is disheartening that such a beautiful city should have an establishment that tarnishes its vibrant image.

The pastries are wonderful! The atmosphere also. The lady almost didn't speak English, but we managed to understand each other. A very nice place, always have some cash!

It's so sad to read so many negative reviews of this café just because they don't accept cards. People sound like insulted children. Cash is always good to have for different occasions. Some places accept cards but POS may be broken, so what? I don't understand ruining the rating of this place just because you couldn't buy...

oggi ho acquistato una torta sacripantina dalla pasticceria Mangini. Posso affermare senza ombra di dubbio che è stato il dolce più cattivo che ho mangiato nella mia vita. Aperto il pacchetto la torta appariva visibilmente stantia e messa in bocca la prima forchettata ne ho avuto la triste conferma. Pan di spagina asiuttissimo e non fresco, probabilmente in origine era stato anche bagnato con qualcosa ma dopo giorni di frigo della bagna non c'era più nemmeno l'ombra, Crema al burro solida come pietra e assolutamente insapore, se avessi mangiato il panetto di burro che ho comprato al supermercato ieri sarebbe stato sicuramente più buono, se non altro perché fresco. inutile dire che di una torta che mi è costata la modica cifra di 30 euro non ho mangiato che la prima forchettata, il resto è finito immediatamente nella spazzatura. Pessima figura fatta anche con i miei invitati, che hanno dovuto fare a meno del dolce. Anche sul servizio la situazione non è migliore, personale poco cortese del tutto inadatto al rapporto col pubblico, soprattutto la persona alla cassa che ti tratta con sufficienza come se ti stesse facendo un piacere a prendere i tuoi soldi, e che ti guarda con un misto di disprezzo e commiserazione se ti azzardi anche solo a far vedere una carta di pagamento.
