We stumbled upon Pastificio Artigianale di Canneto by chance, and it turned out to be one of the best discoveries of our trip! It's a small, unassuming spot tucked away in Genoa, and you might miss it if you aren't looking for it. But the crowd of locals outside was a great sign, so we decided to give it a try for lunch. This place is a must-visit for any pasta lover. The concept is brilliant: you get to combine your choice of fresh, homemade pasta with any sauce you want, and they prepare it right in front of you. We had to try the Trofie al Pesto, the quintessential dish of the Ligurian region. The pesto was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. My husband, a truffle fan, went for the ravioli with truffles and absolutely loved it. The portions were also a very pleasant surprise—even the smallest size was generous and satisfying. For an authentic, delicious, and affordable meal, this place is unbeatable. The quality of the food is outstanding, and it's a great spot to try different pasta and sauce combinations. We will definitely be back to try more of their pasta variations on our next visit to Genoa.

Found the place through Google Maps and ordered vegan ravioli with walnut sauce and savory "vegetable cake". The "cake" was not really a cake and was extremely dry (it literally got stuck in my throat). Do not recommend it. The ravioli were okay, cooked okay but would have benefited from a hint of salt and veggies. I paid 12 euros for my meal and it was disappointing overall, especially because all the meals were heated in a microwave. I guess I expected that the ravioli would be pre-made but heated in a pan with the sauce. I wish I had seen the microwave earlier and had left, instead of noticing when we had already paid. Do not recommend. PS: if you are a tourist, you deserve a freshly baked/cooked meal - there's a pizzeria nearby where the pizza is baked fresh and the pizza costs less (about 8 euros). PS2: Vegan food is tasty. This is not a good representation of it :D

I came here because of the great ratings on google for a quick and affordable pasta. I got a pumpkin and orange ravioli with walnut sauce. Now the pasta was really good, however the lady at the counter was absolutely rude and racist too! She gave me two machines and I tapped on it but apparently it didn’t go through. She was just standing there without saying anything, so after a while I was like what’s happening. I told her nothing wrong with my card as I used it plenty of times. I asked her to try do it again but at first, she refused to do it. She was like yelling at me. I asked her one more time and it worked. Then she threw away the receipt at me and ignored me at all. I also noticed others got asked if they wanted cheese but apparently not for me. Please train your staff!!!

If tourist trap ever was, this is it. Whilst the pasta in itself is quite good, the pesto leaves much to be desired which is a shame since it is their selling point. You would be much better off walking a bit further and acquiring some local brand from one of the many shops or stopping at a local trattoria with pesto on its menu. If you do like this taste profile in pesto barilla has a similar quality for a lower price point. The walnut sauce and the ravioli fillings are good. If you order wine beware as it is served ice cold and is of very average quality. As for the service, the staff would be better served by not belittling the nature of the clients order. If you are looking to eat local cuisine this is not the place if you are in a rush and don’t care too much this might be the place for you. As for the dessert my dinner companion who is known for his doberman palate said it was comestible but...
