Best food experience this weekend spanning Genova Nice and Monaco. FOOD: the pesto lasagna and minestrone soup ever. Full of flavor and exceed our expectation. Octopus salad and fried shrimp&calamari were excellent. Can't go wrong with food here. They gave us taste of baccala, and that was out of this world. Would've order if we haven't already ordered four dishes. LOCATION: it is tricky to find this place with Google map since it is along the alley. But Google will get you close enough. Don't give up, it's worth it. PRICE: four dishes for €30. Not bad in my opinion. SERVICE: fantastic service and very friendly. Assuming this is family owned and ran. Even meet the father. Loved everything. OVERALL: when I comeback to Genova, I will stop here for meal. The place is worth a...

Wow!! I simply cannot recommend this place enough! The people are wonderful and they have a unique - taste before you order concept - that differentiates them from any other hotel I have ever been to! The prices are reasonable and the taste of the food would make me visit Genova once again to visit this restaurant. A definite, not to be missed restaurant if you want to taste the authentic Ligurian cuisine. The menu changes on a regular basis but everything I tried was wonderful. So taste what you like before you order and enjoy your meal! People have mentioned that the restaurant is difficult to locate, but we could locate it easily. I would recommend to approach from the San Giorgo metro station to the Chiesa di San Pietro in Banchi, and the restaurant is at the entrance of a...

THE SPOT IN GENOVA! Gorgeous street food worth standing in line for. Sitting out in the small square with a drink and heavenly food is how you should be spending your Genova vacation :)

The meatballs looked so good it was impossible not to order them. And they were juicy, delicious, swimming in rich savoury tomato sauce. Incredible. Then both the lasagnas are splendid, thick with filling and well-portioned. We also had some squid to start and you can’t go wrong with that.

Bonus points, the bread was warmed up and was delectable.

Ho avuto l'occasione di conoscere questo locale circa un paio di anni fa ma poi non ero più riuscito a tornarci ma ne avevo sempre il desiderio di riassaporare la tradizione di questo ristorante storico. È un ambiente rustico ma accogliente allo stesso tempo e merita assolutamente passarci se si è in zona! In questi giorni, il 7 e l'8 febbraio (2023) ci sono quindi tornato con un mio caro amico e non mi ricordavo l'estrema bontà delle pietanze che vengono preparate qui. Qui non sbagliate mai a scegliere una cosa rispetto all'altra, è tutto davvero troppo buono e godereccio! I sapori, ripeto, sono quelli della pura tradizione genovese e rispecchiano alla perfezione la genuità e la cura con cui da sempre vengono cucinati qui a Genova. A partire dal loro cavallo di battaglia, lo zimino (che dovete assolutamente provare se venite qui e si tratta della storica zuppa di ceci e bietole), alla trippa accomodata, al fritto misto (baccalà impanato, calamari e gamberoni), allo stracotto nel sugo alle seppie con piselli è tutto davvero strepitoso. Infine è d'obbligo dirlo che gli chef dietro il bancone sono sempre cordiali e simpatici, sempre con il sorriso in faccia, inoltre prima di ordinare ti fanno sempre assaggiare con un cucchiaio le specialità della casa. I prezzi poi, sono molto abbordabili e qui il cibo è molto economico per la qualità offerta!!!
