Minchiareddhi (traditional fresh pasta) and meat rolls with tomato sauce was actually pretty good. Tender meat to go with chewy pasta and the sauce wasn’t too overpowering. Sadly, I can’t say the same to Orecchiette with crispy zucchini and mussels. The description suggested that it’s seasoned with lemon and mint. From the way it sounds I automatically assumed that it’d be some sort of super refreshing flavorful sauce. But it turned out to be rather dull. It wasn’t bad but it’s really not my cup of tea. The wait was exceptionally long. We waited a little over 25 minutes for our food. Too long by any standard if I may say. The complimentary bread (included in the coperto aka service charge) was served cold. I’m not a huge fan of breads to begin with. So, cold breads are a no-no for me. The portion could be a tiny bit bigger. Apart from that everything was pleasant. The owner was polite and helpful. The deco looks nice. The place was quiet and clean. Plenty of parking space on the back street(parallel to the main street where it’s located on.)They have menu in English as well, so that’s a big plus for...
Read moreWe were sitting in the outdoor area of the restaurant (my friend was smoking), and although we had clearly finished eating, our plates were still on the table — untouched. However, we were not done with our wine.
While we were outside, the waitress came over, took our nearly half-full bottle of wine, and poured it out without asking. She didn’t bother clearing the dishes, yet she felt it was appropriate to throw away our wine.
When I came back inside to pour myself another glass, I found the bottle gone. After I asked about it, they apologized and opened a different bottle of wine — not the one we had originally ordered, and clearly a cheaper alternative. Despite this, they still charged us the full price for the original bottle they had discarded.
This was not only careless, but completely unprofessional and unacceptable. It showed a clear lack of respect for the customer and for basic...
Read moreVery Very Nice! We arrived a little late to get a table but the chef and owners were gracious enough to accommodate us with a take away order. Which we totally appreciated that they went out of their way to serve us. The chef browsed the menu with me and helped make choices that were good for takeaway and did not take too much time in the kitchen. We went home with Steak, Orecchiette with yellow tomato sauce, Orecchiette with red sauce and meatballs, buratta with capocollo. They were all delicious and expertly prepared. I wish we would have been able to enjoy the experience at the table, but thankful to have a meal of the wonderful food. This was probably the best food we had in Lecce! Great atmosphere, great service, great...
