We found this restaurant through Google reviews and were surprised to see how quiet it was when we arrived. Lucky us, because it turned out to be a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was cosy with good music, and both the owner and staff were kind. The caponata was bursting with flavour and perfectly seasoned. We also loved the special of the day: taglioline with mushroom and walnut pesto, absolutely delicious. We already have a favourite tiramisu spot in London, and none on our Italy trip so far had come close… until now. The tiramisu at Sud Kitchen didn’t just match it, it may have even been better. 🤫

One of our favorite restaurants in Lecce. After staying here for 2 weeks and trying out several good restaurants we can say this is one of the best in town especially if you want something creative. We tried both tasting menu and a la carte. The tasting menu is a surprise so the chef has all creative freedom so if you're open to new things then try this and it's one of the most affordable tasting menu of this quality. Their a la carte menu also has good options and my fave is the shrimps with curry sauce. They also have cooking classes.

Perfect meal. Wonderful tiny spot on outskirts of old town. Just 5 tables for 2, 1 table for 3 and 1 outdoor. 1940s / 1950s jazz bebop, King Cole Trio etc We had Sicilian caponata and fresh vegetables to start. Wife had slow cooked beef stew - so tender with even tender-er roasted potatoes with rosemary. I had a special tagliolini with mushrooms, a bit of cheese and a dash of soy sauce. Picked lemon sorbet va a tiramisu. Wonderful service. everything Fantastic.

A Heartwarming Taste of Home!

Sud Kitchen in Lecce, Puglia, is nothing short of a culinary gem. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a world of authentic Italian flavors and heartfelt hospitality that reminded me of my mum's kitchen. Every dish was a burst of deliciousness that took me on a journey down memory lane. It felt like I was savoring the same traditional recipes passed down through generations. The flavors were rich, the ingredients fresh, and the presentation impeccable. The delicious food and the warm hospitality of the owner make it a must-visit destination. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience that leaves you with a heart full of gratitude and a taste of Italy that lingers in your memory. We can't wait to return and savor more of their...
