Pica Lecce — Restaurant in Lecce

Horrible experience! After ordering a drink we were waiting for the food and were served DRIED UP pasta that was HARD like a table. I friendly asked what was the reason and asked to not include this pasta in the bill and pay for the drinks. The waiter:

1. said we can not read
2. said pasta is “al dente” while al dente is hard on the inside and this pasta was DRIED UP
3. said he will call the police if we are just not going to pay now

Later, he has admitted that pasta was cooked IN THE MORNING.

While staying at the Pollicastro hotel right down the street, we found there wasn’t really a place to sit and relax after a long tour day. Pica Lecce immediately fixed that problem for us! We called it “Pica Lecce Hour”. Some days we would have coffees, some days glasses of delicious wine, while people watching and soaking up the view of the church and even a wedding! We just wanted to go somewhere close to our accommodation and chose Pico, probably to be honest not a choice we would normally make.
