Booked this place for our final meal of the holiday after reading good reviews. We booked for 8pm for 4 of us, and were not advised of any time restraints in our booking. Having ordered our 4 main courses, they swiftly arrived within 5 minutes, giving us no time to enjoy the wine we ordered or the atmosphere. No sooner had we finished these mains they were clearing the table and asking if we wanted anything else, after reeling off the 3 desert options they had that evening (no time to hand us a menu to look over) we ordered 4 desserts. The deserts then arrived within 2 minutes of ordering, these were mediocre at best. The sorbet was already melted, and the chocolate cakes were dry and clearly bought in. Before we had even finished the last mouthful, the plates were being cleared from under us. We had now had 4 mains and 4 deserts less than 35 minutes after arriving for our table we booked. Obviously, we still had drinks left to finish due to only arriving 35 minutes earlier, without even asking a bill was slapped down on the table and a few minutes later they were back to take payment. After another 5 minutes of drinking our wine we were then asked to leave the restaurant as they had other reservations waiting for the table… this was now just 40 minutes after our booking started and we still had drinks we had paid for on the table.

Unfortunately, the whole experience at this restaurant was very poor, the food was okay at best and the whole rushing our meal from the start despite having booked made for a very poor experience. They clearly wanted us gone so they could get a 2nd sitting at the table and did not care that we had booked and were trying to enjoy a relaxing meal. The food as other reviews have stated was overpriced and disappointing. Probably the worse meal we had while on holiday in Italy and would not recommend...

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOUR A TOURIST! After being recommended this restaurant by our hotel we decided to book for dinner as there was a large group of us. Everything was going smoothly and since there was so many of us (family holiday) they sat us on 2 different tables which we didn’t mind, just grateful to get a seat. The middle woman had taken one of our tables order and when the woman went to take the second tables order she suddenly got extremely rude screaming at the top of her lungs in Italian for what felt like 10 minutes!! We tried explaining to her that we don’t speak or understand Italian and she carried on creating a whole scene which led to our whole family feeling very uncomfortable and on edge. We were extremely confused and baffled to what had went wrong or upset her to react in this shocking manner! However since we were so hungry and in such a big group we didn’t want to risk leaving and not getting any availability in another restaurant. She eventually left our table to then get another waiter to scream at us AGAIN! We have NEVER experienced anything like this in our lives! The woman also knew the we were english and did speak it enough for us to order, but was not understanding at all. The food was delicious but we all left feeling very embarrassed and a very uncomfortable meal the whole time we were there. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone who aren’t native Italian or u may be verbally abused for no reason as well. After reading reviews after the incident i’ve seen many other customers have had similar problems and incidents with the same old woman and i think the restaurant will thrive if she retires. I have also seen the cocky responses from the restaurant and think it’s extremely unprofessional. Such a shame that the food is beautiful but the atmosphere and service...

First of all, I would like to express with regret that the ethical values and customer relations of this establishment are extremely poor. I do not even want to comment on the food because once you lose trust in a place, nothing else really matters. Even if the food is good, you no longer feel like eating it, nor can you enjoy the environment you’re in.

Our experience evoked exactly these feelings, and on our last night, we left the beautiful city of Lecce feeling sad and heartbroken.

We had ordered fried calamari, but what was served was a mixed fried seafood dish. We requested it to be changed, and unfortunately, what we received afterward was the same plate with all items except the calamari removed, served in a smaller portion and cold.

When we politely expressed our dissatisfaction upon leaving, we were treated extremely rudely — we were physically grabbed by the arm and escorted out. What disturbed us more than the few missing shrimp was being treated like fools and the aggressive behavior we were subjected to as we left.

This attitude is absolutely unacceptable. We will continue to raise awareness about this issue both on social platforms and through official channels, in order to inform potential customers and, if possible, to ensure appropriate sanctions are applied.

We hope this feedback will be taken into consideration so that no one else has to experience this kind of disrespectful, rude, and...

We came as a couple without a reservation and got a lovely seat. We had antipasti di mare as a starter. We had a plate of fried calamari and crab, both dishes were tasty. On the centre plate we had mussels (cocca) gratinated with crumbs. Served with an octopus salad and seafood mixed with potatoes. The octopus salad was excellent, but I wasn't convinced by the other two dishes. My partner liked them both. For me, mussels cooked in their own sauce are more delicious. The third plate had two salads (octopus/calamari) and curried rice (or something similar). The two salads were very well rounded. The antipasti was fine. For the second course we had linguina al nero and linguina allo scoglio. Both dishes were very delicious and well flavoured. One of the best main courses in Puglia to date. To drink we had half a litre of house wine (white wine) and mineral water. The staff were friendly, but at some point we had the feeling that we should leave the restaurant as the space was reserved for guests with a reservation, although there were a few free tables.

Very welcoming restaurant located in the historic center of Lecce, well looked after, dining room staff and owners make you feel at home, well prepared dishes that vary from local cuisine to the most refined dishes with quality products. Fish always fresh and prepared to the minute, Acquerello Carnaroli rice, fine truffles and porcini mushrooms, homemade desserts, make this place a stop to be respected when visiting the splendor of Lecce Baroque. The quality/price ratio is positively surprising and truly relevant. The wine list is excellent and extensive, Apulian, national and international, congratulations I recommend it to everyone and we will return soon.

I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant: the food, the service, the hospitality that was extended to me as I lugged in my suitcase and backpack. As a solo older woman, the small things like my luggage not being a problem mean a lot. For Americans always looking for a “real Italian” restaurant, you won’t be disappointed here. As for the food, I chose a combination of seafood, but mostly mussels. The broth was exactly right; the bread basket had a variety of selections, all fresh. Then there was dessert. It was no issue that I asked for some time at the table just to let everything settle before I enjoyed this delicacy:
