Road 66 — Restaurant in Lecce

If you're looking for a good burger, keep looking. Unfortunately, we stopped in with high expectations but in addition to extremely slow service, the waitress had an attitude and rolled her eyes and told me "I guess, if it's really necessary" when I asked if it was possible for the fries to come out with the burgers (fries are sold separately and it says that they will probably come out fast because they don't take long to cook). When the fries did arrive, more or less at the same time as the burgers, they were room temperature - which makes me believe they cooked them first and left them sitting there until our burgers were ready. The burgers themselves were a disappointment, the meat was barely seasoned and had none of that smokey flavor or caramelization that you expect, despite having some charring. The bun is almost twice as big as the patty itself, which means you mostly taste bread when you take a bite. The bacon is pancetta, so just be prepared it will not be crispy. Giving 1 star for experience and food and one extra for the only nice wait staff, a young woman with braids and glasses who brought us the drinks and was the only one who didn't make us feel like our presence was an inconvenience. Entering this place you will be entering a dreaming place: a dream of three guys that wanted to recreate a "piece of wild America" in Lecce, with flavours and atmospheres of that road that "made America", to establish a place where friends can meet regularly (and some guys still do after 20 or more years), friends can be made and nice food but mostly DRINKS could be enjoyed. Indeed a wide selection of beers for all tastes and some meat !!

Always in the heart of the "movida" valentina, despite a local government administrators efforts of effacing (more than regulating).

You can watch there all Lecce football games (Danilo the owner is a great and folkloristic supporter) and other live events.

Ah: air conditioning is provided when the "faugno" ( hot and humid wind) is too strong.

If you ask 10 leccesi what does mean pub in Lecce, 8 will probably mention ROAD 66 ...and with a nostalgic but yet present smile. [One might say that the other 2 are posh and not telling the truth...😋]

The worst meal we've had in all of Europe... Don't think I've ever written a review but this was so bad, it needed one. We ordered 4 burgers and 1 serve of fries. It took over an hour to get our burgers and it wasn't busy at all. When they finally arrived the entire table was so disappointed to find the equivalent of a microwave burger from a fuel station. The chicken burger was a glorified chicken nugget with some soggy lettuce and mayo. The other 3 beef burgers were like the sole of a Birkenstock with melted cheese on top. The inside of the pub looks cool, other than that, avoid this place! You're in Italy, just eat the pasta and pizza like...
