PitucaWine — Restaurant in Livorno

We booked this restaurant through the Fork but it was stated as a no show, guessing due to the situation they did not want us to leave a review on the site. The one highlight was our waitress, she was friendly and provided us with great service. We decided we wanted a salt baked fish and they had a large selection of various sizes. As it was just 2 of us and we started with a primi each, we choose a smaller fish to share. We ended with a dessert also to share and a bottle of mid range wine. When we asked for the bill, I saw the chef and another man behind the bar deciding how much to charge for the fish, unfortunately we made the cardinal sin of not seeing how much they were charging for the fish prior. I could see all of this as we were sitting near the bar/counter. The waitress was clearly not happy with what they wanted to charge and needless to say when they brought the bill and that small fish was €40, I was shocked! The men kept watching for our reaction and they knew I was not impressed with their act of clearly over charging. The bill for two with 2 pastas, 1 fish and side dish with one dessert and average priced bottle of wine was €112 and that was with an advertised 20% off, so without that deduction it was quite expensive. I would not recommend this place due to their propensity to take advantage of customers...

Sono un cliente affezionato di questo locale da oramai diversi anni. L'ospitalità del proprietario sono a dir poco uniche. Sembra di mangiare a casa propria per l'ambiente sereno e familiare che trovi, con la qualità di un ristorante azzardo a dire stellato. Non voglio essere presuntuoso, ma avendo visitato molti luoghi anche in giro per i vari Continenti, trovare un locale dove ogni piatto raggiunge un livello molto alto di preparazione e qualità non è semplice. Inoltre, vi è la possibilità di poter abbinare molti vini ai singoli piatti, grazie alla vasta disponibilità del locale. Nei periodi caldi il locale ha la possibilità di qualche tavolino all'aperto che non guastano. Infine, posso dire che è ottimo il rapporto qualità/ prezzo. Considerando i piatti sono gourmet e vi è spesso la possibilità di scegliere dalla vetrina pesce fresco, posso ampiamente dire che i prezzi sono estremamente onesti. Posto garantito al...
