Esperienza sensoriale da non perdere! GRAZIE GRAZIE GRAZIE!!!

GRAZIE...

A truly lovely fine dining experience in a charming little area that makes for great people watching. Expect white table cloth dining, with professional servers and a creative, well executed menu. The wines lean to pricey selections, with no inexpensive local choices (which we have become fond of and accustomed to).

Our antipasto dishes: beetroot and carrot mousse with baby carrots and Tuscan lentils - flavour packed and great textures; Seared fennel marinated in dill with smoked potato cream - visually stunning and fascinating taste combination.

We shared one primi of venison parpadelle, which the kitchen was kind enough to place on two seperate plates for us. The pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked with a rich meat sauce.

We finished by sharing the Mediterranean Amberjack - magnificently cooked to a silky texture with a complex sauce and purée base. Adored every bite, but for the price it was an extremely small portion.

Save room for dessert - we had a decadent chocolate pastry filled with cream. It was just incredible!

Overall loves this experience and would recommend a visit if you’re bored of the more...

So you'd think that at this spot, which is the most touristy square in a very touristy city, you'd not be able to eat well. In fact you are. And for a reasonable price as well. And after to had all that great food they'll most likely offer you a free chestnut liquor as an added bonus. Will you believe I had cow stomach here and that it was excellent in a salad. And that after that I had snails risotto and that it was great. Then I had a pigeon with the meat exquisitely cooked. Nicely red from the inside and tasty. To to it off I had the local speciality: the piatto forte. It is something in-between tiramisu and pudding. It has some raisins and contrary to what one might think it's not very heavy on the stomach. In general the food at angolo Tondo is not very heavy on oil or butter. The food is not very traditionally Tuscan but it makes for a nice mix between tradition and modernity. With all this you're seated at a beautiful square that is round. Recommended. (Friendly...

Just absolutely excellent from start to finish. This is a front of house team with high-end aspirations, serving exceptional food at every course. We were welcomed warmly and seated in the beautiful piazza as a band played in the centre. After drinking our welcome drinks we chose a wine and a couple of appetisers and mains from their focused but appealing menu. And then the food came. Canestrino tomato stuffed with pesto and burrata and liberally doused in watermelon gazpatcho was a highlight, but that's to cast no shade whatsoever on the beef tartare that was absolutely packed with flavour. For mains I enjoyed a wonderful ravioli stuffed with needlefish and swimming in a rich, fishy broth, while my husband's roast pork dish was just fantastic. We shared a superb dessert - a shortcrust pastry, verbena and cream concoction that was deeply impressive. I can't recommend L'Angolo Tondo highly enough. A really special evening.
