Vinarkia quickly became our go-to for aperitivi and light dinner. We have brought friends and family when they visit Lucca, and all have been very pleased.

A young couple with a gracious manner are the proprietors, each demonstrates an attention to detail and passion for enhancing their client's experience - as do their personable and pleasant waitstaff. Exceptionally creative, craft cocktails - each is a complex array of nuanced flavor. It is an appetizer menu, however with a few apps you have a very pleasant dinner. The chef, also a family member, has excellent food sensibility. She adeptly elevates mundane foods to an unexpected experience. And, each option is a wonderful pairing with a cocktail or wine!!! We chose Vinarkia fairly spontaneously, but were so glad we did after two hours of wonderful service and fantastic drinks.

The team are both welcoming and informed, so if you're coming to take advantage of their wine credentials you won't be disappointed. We were there for a couple of spritz before dinner, and honestly one you've had a couple here you'll realise the difference with the many others you'll be served around town... these are people who care about the drinks they serve.

It's also just a brilliant vibe. Great playlist, and lots of opportunity for people watching. The charcuterie boards looked delicious from a distance as well.

Were we not here for only a night, we'd be back...

It was Sunday night and Vinarkia had been open for 10 minutes and the place was empty. I went to the waiter and asked for two drinks but rather than serve me he insisted on me being seated before he would take the order. He was very insistant stating table service only. He was not prepared to listen to the customer and was extremly inflexible to a situation in an empty bar. This bar has changed owners a few times and regularly changes staff. Bettet staff training would not allowed this situation to arise. Unfortunately, we left without having any drinks. Could do better and be more intuitive of customer needs...
