Know that this review should be seen in the context of gluten free places. If this was a normal restaurant I would have given it 2 stars. Obviously the food is not as good as food with gluten however it is good enough that you forget the food is gluten free. Onwards to the review. Overall I would recommend coming back to this place but mainly for the wine and a slice of the cheesecake.

Starters Once you have ordered the dish from the menu you are presented with a basket of gluten free bread. There is no dipping included, such as olive oil and the bread itself is dry so I would recommend skipping that basket of bread and drink the house wine instead, while waiting for the dishes.

Dinner I had a pizza and my partner had a pasta dish (see images). The pizza was good however I would have wished for some more toppings and the tomato/cheese ratio was too much tomato for me. But that's a personal preference. The crust has a good texture if you like thin and crisp. The pasta was freshly cut and easily absorbed the tomato based sauce. My partner said it was a good but simple dish.

Dessert After you have finished the dishes the waiter will ask you if you want their dessert. Since this (and the house wine (red) ) was by far the best part of this experience I would recommend saying yes. Portion size is good enough for 2 to share one dessert.

Drinks and service The house wine was very drinkable. It was fruity and not sour at all. Even my partner, who usually don't want to have wine due to the acidity and dryness, enjoyed half a glass of this house wine. The overall service is good and you never feel pressurised into ordering. The noise level is quiet/normal and it really makes for an overall...

I was very happy with this restaurant because they use high quality ingredients without preservatives. It was very refreshing to see a restaurant that relies on natural ingredients. They have so many lactose free cheeses - it is amazing! Virtually everything they serve is gluten free and lactose free. Their range of pastas are unique and very tasty. The prices are more than fair for what you receive, and I believe that anybody that says otherwise is a cheapo. The owner was very kind and passionate about his work; and he worked very hard to make sure that all of his customers were served. Great way to start off our time in...

If you have celiac disease and you are within a few hours drive of this restaurant, you will not regret making the trip for a leisurely meal at this place (Matera as well is unforgettable). Things to know: Hours on the sign are approximate, first courses are amazing, the bread is extraordinary (something about fermenting the rice), and you can pick up some sweet and savory things at the "bakery" in the front. This family restaurant is outside of the historic district, on the edge of a local piazza where you can stroll and let your kids play on...

In linea.

I’m gluten intolerant which makes travelling in Italy a bit difficult sometimes. To come in a restaurant and be able to order anything on the menu was absolutely amazing. The bruschetta was so delicious, the pasta tasted like heaven, and my boyfriend loved the pizza. The bread was even fantastic, and dessert was phenomenal. I honestly can’t rave about this place enough. If you’re gluten intolerant you HAVE to go here.
