We dined here last week on our visit to Matera. If I could rate it 6 stars, I would! Firstly, the restaurant decor is stunning, a very nice setting to eat in. You can eat inside or outside. We chose to eat indoors because they had air conditioning. The waiter we had was excellent, extremely friendly, and spoke perfect English. I have been learning to speak Italian for a while and he kindly let me practise a few phrases with him! The food was absolutely incredible and of the highest quality. Our waiter informed us that the cold cuts were sourced from local free roaming animals, and was very informative about the dishes we ordered, which are typical of the cuisine in the Basilicata region of Italy. The restaurant is a short walk and easy flat walk from the historic centre. We were extremely happy with our visit to this restaurant and would strongly recommend it to anybody visiting Matera!

Amazing restaurant where food is great and service is amazing. If you want to taste local ingredients, depending on season, prepared and cocked at high level this is a place you must visit. The Marro is made with interiors of sheep, amazing: don’t think you can find anywhere else. Cocked this way. Pasta selection is great and fave with cicoria is an appetiser that will set you for dinner. I saw a spectacular dish on tables near me that is the Pignata. Next time I go I will try some. Menu is rich and you do not go wrong any option you pick. Service is friendly and smooth. Waiting time is just perfect. Restrooms are clean and neat. Overall experience is high level and final price per person is amazingly fair! Thumbs up for Stano!

Very good food and excellent service. I had a pasta dish that had 2 types of pasta in it, one being a cheese stuffed ravioli that had cinnamon in it, which went great with it. Then I had the horse meat that was so tender it just broke apart upon touching it with my fork. It was accompanied by bread and cheese balls covered in a tomato sauce. I liked the food so much and noted that they do pizzas also so made a reservation for the next evening but the manager told me they no longer do pizzas. Not sure why. Still highly recommend this trattoria. Whatever you do, even if you don’t eat desserts, get the tiramisu! It’s incredible. Again, about the service, our waiter was very responsive, considerate and informative.

I recently visited a restaurant that absolutely amazed me. From the very first moment, I was delighted with the atmosphere - cozy interior, pleasant music, smiling staff. As soon as I looked through the menu, my appetite increased several times - I have not seen such a variety of dishes and drinks for a long time.

After a successful choice, I expected the food to be good, but it exceeded all my expectations. The dishes were cooked superbly - juicy steaks, tender meat, aromatic sauces. The chef clearly knows his business and knows how to please guests with his culinary masterpieces.

The service also left only positive impressions. The waiters were attentive and polite, all the dishes were served on time, without unnecessary delays. I was pleased that the few drinks were also well taken care of - the coffee was hot, the wine was cool.

After such a great evening in the restaurant, I can definitely recommend this place to all my friends and acquaintances. I will definitely come back again to enjoy delicious food and excellent service. How wonderful it is to be met with such pleasant...

The place is cozy, the waiter is gentle and kind, starters are simply wow. But the first course, am afraid, it's a great delusion. They're pretty heavy and highly caloric. And the Dessert's are just ok! Now it's time to pay... i've given my credit card to the guy, said to be the son of the restaurants' owner and the guys asks me if the credit card is mine. I was just freezed to hear that. I personally feel (i wish am wrong) the reason behind could be, cause of my skin (am a dark Asian). Later found out that the restaurant came out to be a winner in one of the programmes on sky. But in the episode the guy appeared to arrogant when one of participants has found a hair in the plate, responding it's lambs' hair and that's normal. The scene was criticised by millions, but however the restaurant came out as victor. Strange huh..! I was happy when entered inside the restaurant, but unfortunately not the same on my exit. Hope my feedback helps the...
