DOU — Restaurant in Milan

Last Sunday it was the second time I visited this fine Asian restaurant. I returned for the great taste of the dishes and service. I will definitely come back for the exceptional manner they treated my friend and myself. I explain: I had parked outside and my car got stuck, impossible to move it. So I had to contact the road assistance and wait outside in the cold. We had already paid and left the restaurant to go home, so we went back asking if we could sit inside while we waited for the road assistance. They were very courteous, allowed us back to our table and also offered us a hot flower tea to keep us warm ! Cibo fusion thailandese e cinese ottimo. Peccato il servizio. Ci siamo stati ieri sera eravamo in 5: seduti alle 21.15 ed ordinato alle 21.25. La bottiglia di vino richiesta è arrivata dopo 15 minuti dall’ordine. I piatti hanno iniziato ad arrivare in maniera casuale. In particolare avevamo chiesto come antipasto un mix di ravioli per tutto il tavolo che ci hanno servito, dopo plurimi solleciti, alle 23.15. Per avere la seconda bottiglia di vino dopo aver terminato la prima abbiamo atteso altri 15 minuti. Ma il fatto più grave della serata è stato che al tavolo di fianco al nostro fumavano Iqos apertamente (eravamo ovviamente al chiuso all’interno del locale) tra l’indifferenza del personale di sala. Quando abbiamo fatto notare al cameriere che noi stavamo mangiando e questi signori stavano fumando il cameriere si è rivolto a questi signori dicendo se potevano fumare fuori perché a noi (indicandoci) dava fastidio…peccato che sia illegale fumare (anche le sigarette elettroniche o l’iqos) nei locali al chiuso. Alle 24.30 circa dopo l’ennesima attesa per il dolce lasciavamo il locale con i signori del tavolo di fianco che nel frattempo avevano ripreso a fumare tra l’indifferenza del personale di sala. Abbiamo segnalato l’accaduto al personale anche della reception che per scusarci ci faceva uno sconto di 4 euro (su un conto di 375)….! We had a lovely time at this restaurant during Saint Valentine's Day in 2023. I especially appreciated the rose that was thoughtfully placed on each table. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was made with fresh ingredients. If you're looking for a recommendation, I suggest trying the grilled dim sum and spring rolls.
