Kamii — Restaurant in Milan

I was stuck in Italy during the Great Climate Change Heatwave of Summer 2023, which caused weather disruptions that snarled air traffic on both sides of the Atlantic. This all-you-can-eat sushi & fusion joint was near the little Milan hotel I overnighted in.

There's a flat price for its all-you-can-eat dinner, now about €24. This price does not include drinks, but you can just order water, which comes in a large bottle. Order as much as you want, just be aware that what you don't eat you will be charged extra for, so be careful.

I ended up ordering just right, not too little but not too much, but just enough that I could barely finish the last dish from being full. Exactly what you want to maximize value at an all you can eat restaurant.

We sat down for the All You Can Eat option around noon. It seemed to be a family-run establishment, and the staff were polite and attentive, treating customers like their own business. The prices were reasonable, the service was fast, and the sushi was good, though not amazing. Unfortunately, the atmosphere wasn't great, and the tables were quite close...

Ho prenotato un posto per 6 persone il giorno prima per le 14:00, nonostante fossimo arrivati in orario abbiamo dovuto aspettare fuori più di un' ora per la liberazione di un tavolo, durante il quale ci fecero ordinare da fuori il locale, ironico a mio parere in quanto è il preciso motivo per cui qualcuno dovrebbe prenotare un tavolo. Poi ci fecero entrare (erano le 15:15). Tralasciando l'attesa iniziale ci siamo diretti al tavolo libero, o meglio, ai tavoli in quanto essendo in 6 ci hanno fatto sedere a due tavoli separati, senza nemmeno collegarli per occupare meno spazio. A quel punto dovevamo solo aspettare che il cibo arrivasse, operazione che ha impiegato altri 40 minuti di tempo, se non di più. Il cibo di per sè non era male, nonostante il fatto che ad un certo punto, alcune mie ordinazioni non sono "arrivate a consegna".
