This restaurant was everything I ever imagined a restaurant in Italy would be. What I mean is, it's not just about the food (although the food was exceptional), but also about how a place makes you feel. At La Baia, you feel truly at home, and nothing is too much trouble in giving the finest, most genuine experience. It's how eating out should always be. Nothing pretentious or fancy, just well cooked fresh food made with passion, and a relaxed atmosphere and service that leaves you feeling warm inside. Go and eat there, you'll be glad you did.

Good evening. This evening we visited a restaurant called "La Baia dal 1969". Very pleasant atmosphere from the very entrance to the end, to the exit. Excellent service, very responsive waiters, smiling and kind. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant. We ordered two pizzas, a salad, pasta and ice cream with strawberries and cream. Everything was very tasty and delicious. The waiter Luca created a very pleasant atmosphere, recommended delicious pizza. This young man is very smiling, responsive and attentive.

Of course i expected pizzas in Italy to be much better than pizzas in my country. The first Italian pizza i ever tasted was in La Baia, and i couldn't believe how delicious it was. It really was the best pizza i had in my life thus far. I was very excited, but i wanted to taste other pizzas in the city to have a more spherical view. I tried some other pizzerias, and then i came back to La Baia again, because it was by far the best. My favorite from the menu was "Michelle".

I have to admit, pizza isn’t something that Wows me, but we accidentally stumbled across this pizzeria on a late Sunday afternoon and decided to try it as we were getting hungry and needed a quick something..

Despite it being near to their closing time, they were very accommodating and welcomed us to an outside table.

We ordered various pizzas each, a bianca topped with melted cheese (that is, pizza with no tomato sauce), my husband had their Padellino (one would describe it more like a crunchy bread with thick edges) which was recommended by another customer who overheard that he wanted a surprise speciality from them and that didn’t disappoint. I had the Greca and asked for fresh mushrooms, so delicious.. it was all gone in minutes..

The base is thin but crispy and the toppings all very fresh. Unlike other pizzerias with thin bases, here they manage to somehow keep it dry and crunchy, which is their signature style.

We even got to see the master pizza chef (Leo) spin the dough in the air, which was impressive and very entertaining for the lil one.

Sabrina the manager was so genuinely nice and even came over to our table and gave a piece of pizza dough to our lil one to play with! That was a first time she’d ever received a play dough from the restaurant at a pizzeria and will be forever memorable.

The staff here are all very welcoming and you feel like being in a family restaurant. Ever needing a pizza fix, then definitely try La Baia.. you will leave wanting more!

I’m already planning my next visit to try other dishes on...

We stopped by La Baia 1969 late at night, around 11pm, when very few places were still open. Thankfully, they welcomed us in and gave us a table, which we really appreciated. The staff were kind and friendly, and despite the late hour they still made us feel comfortable.

We ordered pizza, which came out a little overdone, but given how late it was and how hungry we were, it honestly didn’t matter too much. You could tell the cook was probably tired, and we were just grateful to have something warm and filling at that time. The taste was good overall, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough for a late-night bite.

All in all, it was a nice experience. Definitely not a fine dining experience, but a solid, reliable place if you need food...

The best pizza selection in the area and the truest pizzeria with scrumptious pizzas ever. The salads and the appetizers are cooked in the oven, fresh and delicious. The casseroles are made to order. The service is fast and so personal. Don’t forget the deserts which are just out of this world.

The location is off the beaten track (and that is why the prices were so reasonable). Please come and discover this place, which I found randomly on the way to a Michelin star restaurant. Paid portion of the price but the taste would be very very high on my list, even for best New...
