I had never eaten a lobster roll before, but had always wanted to try one. Seeing as I was in Milan for a few days, I decided that I would go here.
I can't speak Italian, so I'm a little self-conscious about eating out in Italy, as it can be a bit difficult to communicate properly. I was worried that would be the case here, but I really wanted to try my first ever lobster roll, so I just went for it and walked in.
I was greeted in a sincerely friendly manner the second I walked in. I told the staff member that I can't speak Italian, and he was happy to speak English (which was perfect English at that). He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was happy to answer all of my questions, as well as make recommendations.
I sat down and waited for my food, and it arrived within 10 minutes. I went for the Connecticut Lobster Roll. It looked really good, and was certainly different in flavour to anything I have eaten before (different in a good way) 😋. The fries were also delicious. They were really crispy on the outside, but nice and soft on the inside.
As I was eating my meal, I was feeling really pleased with my decision to eat here, not just because of the tasty food, but mainly because of the incredibly warm hospitality I had received from the brilliant staff member. He was really warm and kind, and easily offered me the best service and welcome I have received in Italy.
I made sure to thank him at the end, and I told him that I would write a review. I asked him for permission to name him in my review, and he said his name is Aldo. If the management happen to read this review, please know that this man is an absolute superstar 🤩. He completely made my night with his kindness, and ensured that my final night in Italy ended on a really positive note.
Thank you so much Aldo, and Mason's Famous Lobster...
Read moreI recently visited Masons' Famous Lobster Rolls and had the New York Roll with fries on the side and it was absolutely incredible ! The lobster was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and the buttery, toasted roll made every bite unforgettable. The fries were crispy and delicious, the perfect side to an already amazing meal.
A huge shoutout to Pietro who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Even though we don’t speak Italian, he was so patient, friendly, and helpful.

We tried the Diavolo and the Classic rolls, and both were absolutely delicious. The lobster was incredibly fresh, with that natural sweetness you only get from high-quality seafood. The ratio of lobster to bread was spot-on—generous chunks of lobster that weren’t drowned in sauce or hidden by the bun.
The bread itself was a highlight: warm, perfectly toasted—crusty on the outside yet soft and pillowy on the inside. The Diavolo had just the right kick without overpowering the delicate flavor of the lobster.
You can tell a lot of care goes into every detail. Definitely a must-visit for seafood...
