Ok, so to start, they were very accommodating by letting us make a reservation literally 10 mins in advance. Once at the restaurant, they welcome you with chips and salsa, which is great. The chips are fried in the restaurant (or so said the waiter), and the salsa was fresh and had a great taste. Unfortunately, that's where the food went from good to just ok. The cheese fondue was a hot blob of cheese that reassembled barely warm mozzarella. I ordered the tacos suaderos, and the beef brisket was dried and barely had any flavor. My wife ordered the enchiladas verde, and the chicken was dried as well. Not to mention, there was a chicken bone in the enchilada.
The service was good. And the atmosphere is great. I think my biggest complaint is that if you look at the menu, there are allergens number next to each item. Literally, 90% of the menu has a number 2, which means crustaceans. This raised my concerns and promt me to ask the staff about. They told me that the reason is because they use the same frying oil to fry shrimps and the chips, and they also cook the other shrimps in the same skillet or grill that they cook everything else. This obviously concerned me since i had already eaten the chips, and im super allergic to shellfish. Luckily, I didn't get any reactions. If you ask me. They should really try to remedy this problem. Tbh i feel like that's just a ticking bomb...
Read moreI am hoping that they mistook me for someone else. Maybe a previous bad customer or something. Or maybe they dont like Americans. This was the first time in my life I walked into that place
I was in Italy for 2 weeks on business and as much as I love Italian food, I was craving some Mexican food. I went right at lunch opening. Probably the first customer. They sat me at a table right next to the kitchen door and also where every other customer walks by. I asked for another table but they mumbled something and said no. I assumed it could have been advanced reservations or something. But then a few minutes later I saw another customer do the same thing and they sat them right in the area I was asking. Keep in mind the restaurant was empty at that point. Ordered an 8 euro beer. Took forever to be delivered and when it finally came, it was filled 1/3 with foam. Food arrived. Beans and rice were cold. Maybe this is how they do it in Italy but it did not taste good. I got a beef burrito. That was pretty tasty but was offered no hot sauce or anything else. I was treated as an inconvenience the entire time....
Read moreIt was a weird experience here. We reached the place at our reservation time and got a really good table inside. The atmosphere was good, staff was good too. We ordered vegetarian fajitas and it was delicious.
At the end of the dinner we ordered desserts (Churros) and we kept on waiting. All the tables around us started leaving at the end of the first slot as the restaurant had two time slots. And we kept on waiting ( more than 15 min) but our order was nowhere.
After asking again the waitress said that she mistakenly gave it to another table and now that the first slot is over she can't give us the order and the only thing that she can do is, pack us the desserts. Me and my partner were on a romantic date and the end of the dinner left a very bad taste to the night.
And when we went to pay our bills I saw that the churros were there on our bill. I politely asked him to deduct and the cashier also removed it.
Everything was going good until this mishap happened and our night felt...
