Røst — Restaurant in Milan

We had the most fantastic experience at Rost! We decided to drop by last minute and were thrilled that they could squeeze us in at the bar. Sitting there gave us such a cozy, homey vibe, and we even got to chat with the friendly staff.

From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the attention to detail in every corner of the bistro. The interior was charming and inviting, setting the stage for a perfect evening.

But let's talk about the food – oh my goodness! It was like Spanish cuisine with an Italian twist, and every bite was a flavor explosion. The creativity in each dish was impressive yet comforting at the same time.

And can we talk about the hospitality? The staff made us feel like family from the get-go, and we left feeling like we had made new friends.

Honestly, Rost, you guys deserve a spot in the Michelin guide more than any other place we've visited in Milan over the past 10 days. We can't wait to...

Allora partiamo col dire che in questo posto ci siamo capitati per caso, tornassimo indietro non lo avremmo mai scelto. Partiamo dalle cose positive dato che ce ne sono di meno, i ragazzi sono molto gentili e attenti su questo non ci si può lamentare. Ok ora le negatività di questo posto, ci dicono che la loro formula consiste in portate di condivisione. Per quanto mi riguarda essendo io difficile col cibo, gli abbiamo detto che i miei amici avrebbero condiviso diversi piatti e io avrei mangiato un piatto da solo dato che le altre cose non mi sarebbero piaciute. Ho scelto l’unica cosa che poteva piacermi tra la scelta dei “piatti” specifico “piatti” non ANTIPASTO, ovvero “Polletto zenzero cipollotto e peperoncino = 15 €” va bene, non mi aspettavo di certo un pollo intero (nonostante a quel prezzo si trovi anche intero), ma sinceramente non mi aspettavo nemmeno 2 quadretti di credo sovracoscia di 3x3 cm (immerso inoltre in un brodino neanche specificato). Quando è arrivato non nascondo che ho detto “è impossibile è uno scherzo”. Un piatto davvero indegno da servire a qualcuno e ancora peggio mi sento se quel piatto sarebbe stato da CONDIVIDERE, adesso spiegatemi, ma che ca**o c’era da condividere? Tornando quindi anche al primo punto (quello dell’attenzione verso il cliente), ecco, sapendo che quello era il mio pranzo, forse il cameriere avrebbe dovuto dirmelo che era un po’ pochino il pollo invece di avvisarmi che era molto piccante (quando in realtà il piccante manco l’ho sentito). Non so come possiate ritenervi onesti con prezzi del genere e quelle porzioni, c’è sicuramente MOOOOLTO margine di miglioramento, come minimo dovrebbe costare la metà tenendo quelle dosi, o quantomeno raddoppiare le dosi. C’è assolutamente qualcosa che non torna. Io ho parlato solo del mio piatto, ma neanche i miei amici ci tornerebbero ancora in questo posto, nonostante loro abbiano provato diverse pietanze, ritenendole anche buone, ma le dosi sono troppo ridicole per il prezzo proposto. Mi dispiace ma il mio piatto non avrei il coraggio di servirlo nemmeno alla mia chihuahua, probabilmente ci rimarrebbe di merda pure lei. Peccato davvero non abbia fatto una foto ma erano due forchettate, non sto esagerando. Quindi alla fine ho speso 18,5€ per 3 cm di pollo e l’acqua/pane. Con un colpo solo perso 4 clienti e sicuramente brutta pubblicità… ah e ci tengo a dire anche che la qualità non giustifica affatto il prezzo, tantomeno la quantità. Quindi se volete migliorare...

Cannot put a single star more because of the service. The rude attitude and bias of the staff just ruined the lunch even if the food has a potential. Still we haven’t been asked if we want to share a food which is kind of meze style and in which order I would like to have 4 “mains” for 2 people. When I asked about the wine, I didn’t receive neither the suggestion to have a look on their wine cart or what they have in place. After requesting to actually see the cart we ordered the 2019 vintage I haven’t been warned that the bottle is actually 2018. Also they almost through me out of the restaurant when I asked for a olive oil to have it with the served sourdough :)
