Hotel Fenice — Hotel in Milan

Teribble rooms and hopelessly bad service. Easter 2023 gave us the worst hotel experince for many years. Compared to describtion and pictures at the Hotel Fenice home page, Hotel Fenice should have bright rooms with plenty of sunlight. We were placed in two rooms 112/114 with wiew to a schakt and one meter from the neighbourrooms toilet (in the schakt) …… so we were a part of all the toilet visits. As soon as we got the rooms, we went to the reception, and the person nearly laughed at us and ask us to open the door beside the window in our room ….. there just wasn’t any door. We were also told, that we should be very happy for the silent room away from the street. Don’t ever use this hotel. Terrible romms with absolutely no daylight and a direct look into your neighbours toilet. Next morning we were told , that our wish for at bathtub, was the reason for the terrible rooms - how should we know that? Extremely much noise from other rooms, the undergrund and the schakt. Never, never, never...

My husband and I just spent a night at this hotel 2 nights ago. We booked through a tour company and paid extra for a superior double room. What a disappointment! Don’t believe the hype on their website. There is nothing romantic or elegant about this hotel. The only difference we saw between the classic and superior rooms was the headboard. Same size room with a more simple headboard. We were with friends that stayed in the classic so we witnessed firsthand the “diffferences.” Our rooms were the same size! Oh, the superior rooms are on the upper floors! We were on the 3rd floor facing the Corso Buenos Aires. The nosiest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in. The receptionist was very friendly and the breakfast was ok. Room was very small you can barely walk, the AC makes a lot of noise, probably because the filter was dirty and old (never cleaned) We all got allergies after staying there. And the TIP of the iceberg was that we were robbed. We had money stolen from inside the safe while the room key was at the reception. When we complained about it we were told to go to the police. Obviously we didn’t get our money back and we were very frustrated. I certainly do not recommend this hotel. It ruined our vacation and we felt uncomfortable that they didn’t care.
