THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER! I’m an Indian and very very well travelled worldwide. By just asking the sever about the preparation of basic daal the guy got triggered by saying we serve the way we want,it got worse once we asked the guy to be polite instead he started using FOUL language by saying don’t come next time, trust me I felt sorry for these highly uneducated staff from small villages in punjab who have been forced to be servers,I’m 100% sure they have 0% experience in the hospitality industry.Once we were walking out leaving all the food which was disgusting and tasteless the guy started his foul language again we repeatedly told him to stop using foul words but as I mentioned it’s in his genes and upbringing which didn’t stop him,my wife asked for the owners contact he said he’s the big daddy there and doesn’t care about anyone complaining to the owner or the concerned department.HE SAID HE(F word) DOESN’T CARE ABOUT THE OUTCOME.which was very obvious as it reflected in his body language and illiteracy. THE MOST DISGRACEFUL THING IS THAT THE NAME OF THE RESTAURANT IS SHIVA MEANS(Hindu God) I’m really surprised that have lasted till now since years. Either the visitors have never compared genuine Indian food or don’t have much choice here in Italy. Was going through other negative reviews as expected many past customers have had the same experience as ours which was not surprising. And to top it up their response also suits their attitude by saying PLEASE DON’T COME HERE. I usually never write reviews but just give ratings only. But this experience forced me to write this, wish the italian authorities look into this matter as it’s spoiling the image of MILAN’S Hospitality Business. I can vouch once I post this review the response as expected will also be as thrash as the place, food and the people who are working there. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME,ENERGY AND MONEY BY NOT GOING TO...
Read moreThe owner is very dishonest and greedy. I don't normally write reviews, but my experience last night was so bad that I feel I have to warn other prospective diners.
We booked a table for 20 people agreeing to pay 25 euro each for free flow of food and drinks (water and beer). 45 people showed up unexpectedly from our class and since the kitchen didn't have enough food for all of us, they split the food they had planned for 20 people among all 45 of us. All of us were hungry at the end of dinner and when the time came to pay the owner still expected 25 euro from us even though they had barely served us any food and we were all still hungry. When we tried to discuss with the owner he got very rude and angry and started yelling and stomping around the restaurant and refused to discuss the price. We would have all agreed to have paid 20 euro, and even that would still have been a complete rip-off for the quantity that we ate. Since we didn't want to leave our friends who had organised the event to be stuck paying the difference if they didn't come to an agreement in the end, we all paid the full amount and left.
Regarding the food, it was nothing special and my Indian friends commented that it tasted like a watered down version of traditional dishes so I would probably never have gone...
Read moreTo start with, I'm wondering how Micheline even got here and allowed them to use their name. I guess they should just stick to making tyres nowadays. The food was bland, no soul, no passion whatsoever. How can dishes like tandoori chicken and chicken biryani be ready in 4-5 minutes span? And no raita with chicken biryani, no chutney with tandoori which is an Indian staple and a must have. Adding to my surprise, they provided some mediocre mint chutney, some tamarind sauce which was ghastly and sour than the sweetish hint to it because of jaggery and some imported mango achaar which was weeks old and tasted dry and hideous. How could a mint chutney be sweet, that is my question.
It's a pure scam to fool the non-indians with some shady dishes and overcharge them.
The only authentic Indian thing I found was the kingfisher beer and they could not have messed it up because the bottle was sealed.
Overall, it's a fraud restaurant with hardly any integrity towards Indian food. Don't rob people on the name of Shiva and put him on your logo if you can't provide the quality of food that India has.
I'm a proud Indian foodie and I didn't like it...
