Ristorante La Playa di Taormina — Restaurant in Milan

While walking around in Milan, I spontaneously stopped by at this Sicilian restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice, authentic but nothing exquisite. Just prepare for a basic but cosy setting. The staff was very friendly despite they did not speak much English. I was attracted to it because I noticed its clientelle consisted mostly of Italians. La domenica sera, a partire dalle 21:00, il cameriere anziano vi fisserà tutto il tempo e vi toglierà i piatti da davanti mentre state ancora masticando, e vi proporrà il piatto successivo. Il tutto perché il Lunedì sono chiusi e la domenica sera hanno la fretta di chiudere. Stai mangiando l'antipasto, ti chiede già cosa vuoi per primo, non hai ancora finito il primo e ti propone il dolce, stai mangiando il dolce e ti propone il caffè, il tutto mentre ti fissa e viene a controllare a che punto sei. Hanno fatto così con noi e con un altro tavolo. Peccato, ci sono stato altre 2 volte quando c'era il responsabile e siamo stati benissimo, ma questa volta...
