Ristorante Piazza Repubblica — Restaurant in Milan

Had a wonderful experience at this past Wednesday after recommendation by our hotel concierge. Our group of 4 were promptly seated and wait staff went out of their way to accommodate our questions and orders. (We beat the dinner rush which helped) The house wine and bread were delicious as was the antipasto. We had the sea-bass special which was prepared in a caponata northern Italian style and impressed all at our table. Our group also had the Gnocci and trofie pasta which was equally tasty and set us up well for dessert. We felt the gelato flavors were overall better than the Tiramisu which seemed alittle too dry and stale. To be honest one of the best dining experiences ever. Food... out of this world, from entrees,(raw meet with saffron mayonnaise, seasoned to the point and added with a few fontina cheese leafs), to a perfectly cooked risotto alla milanese, crunchy outside and lovely fluffy inside, with raw salami paste. Wine? Went easy with a local Bonarda, fresh and tasty... till the arancino liquor to end the dinner. All amazing but the top of all is the service: kindness, knowledge, love for the job all at once and much more. You pay it right for the experience, no complaints at all for the bill! Absolutely amazing, don’t dare believe any reviews of old this place was spectacular. I can’t wait to return in the future. The server was lovely she was absolutely fantastic and a pleasure to speak with quite personable. Big plus they take American Express unlike certain businesses in the Milan area.

The only complaint I have is the fact I didn’t have the time or the room to try everything...
