This hotel/hostelling is part of a complex that also houses. Cascina Cuccagna restaurant. The whole complex is made up of a large renovated farmhouse. Un posto a milano has tried to be everything to everyone. It fails..... They hold functions and meetings there till the late hours in rooms right next door to the bedrooms. The rooms are done up in a bohemian unfinished way and occasionally bits of the plaster and ceiling fall. The original farmhouse rooms were large, and to include an ensuite, they created a large MDF Rectangular room inside the old farmhouse room. There were no plugs in the bathroom, so you couldn't wash without running the water all the time.. While in the room, one of the cupboards fell off the wall because it wasn't secured correctly, I mentioned this as it was heavy and therefore dangerous if it fell on your feet, all that was done was the doors were locked so you could open the doors and unbalance it off it's unsecured mounting which caused it to fall in the first instance. Security here is an issue. The bedroom opened up on to a common room that is accessible by the general public! If they venture in there, trying to find advertised communal toilets for the function room users. It is not locked up until the functions and restaurant have stopped. The lower accommodation door is, therefore, always left open to allow this. The windows have gaps that allow the wind to blow through. So you need an electric fire on and the noisey air-conditioning just to keep heat in the room. This makes a mockery of the so-called green ethic of the site. The check-in procedure is very curt. Even if you arrive and state that you would do, they make you wait as you have to report that you have arrived to the restaurant/bar staff who are busy running the ba. They can't let you in/check you in because they are busy. The beds are clean, but you are given a flimsy blanket for added warmth it wasn't good enough.
Sadly, the accommodation side of this does not work for older people who go to bed at an earlier time. It would suit younger people who are happy to rough it and go to bed in the early hours after...

We had the pleasure of stopping for lunch at this beautiful converted farmhouse just before our flight from Linate Airport back to London. Located only a convenient 20-minute drive from the airport, it was a stunning and relaxing pre-flight experience. The ambiance of the old stone building is immediately inviting, perfectly complemented by the incredible aromas wafting from the kitchen. The service and the food were truly outstanding, making this a highlight of the trip, not just a necessary stop.
Outstanding, Seasonal Cuisine
The core of the experience is the food philosophy. The kitchen excels at preparing traditional Italian dishes—occasionally revisited with a modern flair—all made with fresh, seasonal, and quality raw materials. For instance, we shared the delicious roasted rosemary potatoes, a perfect example of how the simple, fresh ingredients truly elevate the experience. The commitment to sourcing, including organic options where possible, adds immensely to the quality of every bite.
All-Day Italian Hospitality Open from 9:00 a.m., this spot is the ideal choice for any moment. In the morning, you can enjoy a lovely breakfast or snack with a selection of delicious pastries, cakes, and desserts, paired with coffee or organic fruit juices and smoothies. For lunch, there is a strong selection of dishes prepared fresh from the kitchen.
As aperitif time approaches and into the evening, the focus shifts to shared bites, including savory platters, cicchetti, pizzas, and focaccias made on the farm with organic flours.
