Trattoria Torre di Pisa — Restaurant in Milan

We had a horrible upsetting experience, We all have food in our houses but we go out for the experience!!!

The food was fine, we ordered roseto and SPAGHETTI WITH GARLIC, CHILI PEPPER AND PINE-SEED, BUT

our waitress was beyond rude and disrespectful. When he took our order he was literally walking I didn’t even get to say what is our drinks,

then every time we try to call him he pass through us and just ignores us completely until the food was served and even then he just put it and walk away so fast that we didn’t have the chance to order our drinks !!

We try to call him and he ignored us When finally we got his attention literally my husband just said “cola with… “ he was already walking away ignoring us again . Cola came in so we got the chance to ask for plate and spoon for our toddler !

From there he just kept passing by us and ignoring !! We thought maybe he can’t speak English but then he was fluent with the table next to us !

We wanted to ask for check we were calling for him while he is standing next to us and he just raised his hand to shut my husband up and kept walking !!!

Is it possible it’s pure racism ? No clue! He literally ruined our night !

I talked to the manager yet the waitress didn’t apologize as if it was nothing !

We had a dinner here based on our Italian friend recommendation that’s why I think he didn’t get such a treatment !

I noticed many foreign reviewers had the same experience so that’s sum it up !

Disappointing experience at this restaurant, had been promised a great meal by a local friend, so we entered with high expectations. The food was decent — but frankly not better than many other places we had visited. I think this is primarily geared towards meat rather than pasta dishes, which were relatively bland. The Milanese and steak Fiorentina were exceptional. The issue is genuinely not the food, or the ambience, but the service was appalling. I was the guest of a friend who is a local. We paid by credit card and were told we could not add gratuity to the card bill. We had no cash in euros, and as we walked out of the restaurant were hounded and harassed by the waiter who loudly voiced his displeasure, literally walking behind us shouting at us as we exited. I had planned to go to an ATM and return but not after that appalling treatment and behavior. I have never experienced anything like that in my life. The food is frankly just simply...

The food was good but overpriced. But the reason why I'm giving this a 1/5 is due to the terrible service. It was absolutely the worst we had in a long time! If you go to this place at 10:30pm (they close at midnight), and sit in a spot where you can see the kitchen and the cooks, you might hear them complain and shake their heads as if you were asking them a favor. But the most disappointing part was this waiter who placed my order incorrectly and did not bother double-checking it (I don't speak Italian but I'm not d*mb). He brought us 1 carbonara instead of 2. When I told him there should be 2 he went absolutely mad and so was the cook when he heard that. What a terrible experience for a so called milanese classic. Fortunately there are much better places to visit in Milan where the staff truly offers...
