Over-priced tourist trap but good and not good food We went there early evening so weren’t put off by the fact that it was quiet. As a fan of authentic carbonara, I thought this would be a good place to choose. When we arrive, there are two other tables however the service was nonetheless still very indifferent and the waiter clearly was not enthusiastic about us being there We ordered the set menu with meatballs carbonara and tiramisu and a couple of Campari sodas and a bottle of water. The meatballs came out and the tomato sauce was very good, however the meatballs were poached so no browning and were quite soggy, and from the amount of steam coming out from the inside it looked as though they had been microwaved. The tomato sauce though was very good. The carbonara came out which was very good, and for my preference, the Guanciale was all very crispy which is very important for me. We sat around waiting for the plates to be cleared for over 15 minutes and despite the waiter walking past us on several occasions he made no attempt to acknowledge us. The best Service ironically was when he went on a break and the bus boy took over who was genuinely friendly and efficient Outcome the tiramisu premade in individual dishes which for me always is a little bit of a warning. It was incredibly late, but that suggested to me that there was more cream than mascarpone used. We were quite shocked that the bill for two of us for just this came to over €140, in particular that they had charged €15 each for a Campari and soda. Overall we would probably have been happy had the meal been a more reasonable 70 or €80 and would’ve even accepted the indifferent and very slow service But at €140 for two, you expect every element to be first class and it was very disappointing. They fell far short...

Holy. Cow. We landed in Milan after 18 hours of travel and no sleep, checked in to our AirBnB and then hopped across this street to this GEM around 3:30pm on a Wednesday for dine in. Of course, we were the only ones there at that odd hour but we were starving from all day travel. Anna immediately welcomed us in the door and made us feel right at home. She was playing fantastic Italian rock music and told us she would turn it down, but since we were the only ones in there we told her to leave it up and we can all just live our best lives! What followed was some of the BEST table service we have ever received. Anna was quick to bring us Prosecco to celebrate our arrival and then offered us recommendations after asking us a few questions about our food tastes. She even paired a wonderful wine with everything for both of us. We started with the meatballs as an appetizer and Anna even plated it table-side for us. She also brought us chefs special eggplant with meat fritter type bites which were fantastic. Fresh bread and home made olive oil! YES! For our first courses, my husband had the gnocchi (it was wonderful… like magic little pillows bursting with flavor) and I had the carbonara which was… listen, let’s just say I would sell my soul for this dish. Pasta is one of my least favorite foods in the US. In Italy… all bets are off! My socks were knocked all the way off! We did not save room for dessert, coffee or digestifs so we will have to go back again. Anna was ending her shift while we were still dining but made sure to say goodbye and wished us a good visit before she passed us off to her fantastic colleague Mario. We loved the atmosphere, the staff, the location in the cute Brera neighborhood and the chef’s incredible food. This is a MUST dine if you...

A tourist trap with lots of good reviews that seem fake.

We came with a reservation for a table for 7 people. No one acknowledged us for more than 5 minutes while we were standing at the entrance of the restaurant. In the meantime, two people got up after having finished their meal and went up to the counter to pay. The staff counted up their order and took the payment, while we were still unacknowledged and waiting at the entrance. After 10 minutes we were finally seated. The menu is quite poor, very few options, no secondi dishes - only starters and a couple of pastas. After we had chosen our dishes, the waitress saw us waiting and ready to order, and told us she was coming to us soon. She told us that twice more before actually coming to take our order. We ordered our food, they ran out of the single wine they have by the glass (Syrah) and offered us Primitivo instead, to which we agreed. While taking the order, the waitress was not friendly or welcoming at all, she seemed annoyed when one of us ordered a small (light) version of the fresh pasta, and was advising to get at least a medium one, but we stayed with our choice. Then they brought the wine, and poured into our glasses to taste it first. The movements of the waitress were brisk, and some wine spilled into my friend's glass of water, which the waitress took no notice of. The pasta arrived, and all the carbonaras we had were super salty, and the pancetta was overfried. Probably the worst pasta I've ever had. None of us enjoyed their dish. Completely unacceptable for this price. Additionally, they added a €24 service charge. For the service we did not enjoy at all.

tldr: Terrible service, we felt not welcome at all. Food was way too salty and not tasty at all, while also being overpriced....

The four of us had an amazing time with Anna. The food she presented was fabulous, and her service was so kind and attentive. We loved the carbonara! And fried potato

TDLR; tourist trap, avoid. We found this place on Trip Adviser and was said to be the best carbonara in town. We made reservations via WhatsApp which was convenient. The higher the hope, the more disappointed we were. We sat inside, behind the opened door to the restaurant and it smelled like urine from time to time. The traditional Carbonara with Rigatoni was like Mac and cheese with pork belly. The sauce was like a salty melted white cheese. The worst was the traditional Carbonara with spaghetti. There was 3 times that salty melted cheese, it was inedible. My friends like saltier food than me but they only ate 1/3 of it. The zucchini Carbonara with Rigatoni was not great either but more edible than the other 2 choices. I also had a side of sauteed chicory. It was also awful because it was very salty that it numbed my tongue. I'm unsure why the chef was so heavy handed with the salt that it made a lot of the food almost inedible. The red wine was really good and the tiramisu was okay. It was so bad that we might not try carbonara again in our 10 day trip in Italy.
