Yuebinlou — Restaurant in Milan

After experiencing it personally, I have a strong feeling that all the good reviews on google for this restaurant are false. I came to Milan from China for almost 3 years and I’ve been always thingking that the quality of Chinese restaurant here is good until I met this one. I asked for 4 dishes and all of them were just heated and had been served, none of them were really stir-fried. The actual size of the lamb casserole did not match the picture, bizarre small, the lamb was as small as my nail cap, so barren that there was no meat at all. This is absolutely robbery! Eggplant was even more disgusting, as international students, even we throw randomly a few slices of eggplant in the pot at home would have been better than this one. What "The crab asparagus soup" written on the menu ended up being a very small bowl, and they replaced the crab with low quality crab sticks..... I felt comppletely cheated from start to finish. The waiter's attitude was also extremely cold and detached. The worst dinner experience ever , disgusting to the point that I still can't calm down a week later.

Come cinese, non consiglierei questo negozio ai miei amici italiani. Dopo averlo sperimentato in prima persona, ho la forte sensazione che le recensioni positive di questo ristorante su google siano tutte false. Vengo a Milano dalla Cina da 3 anni e ho sempre pensato che la qualità dei ristoranti cinesi fosse buona, ma non avrei mai pensato che questo posto mi avrebbe fatto impazzire! Ho chiesto 4 piatti e sorprendentemente tutti sono stati riscaldati, nessuno di loro è stato saltato dopo l'ordine. La carne di maiale era addirittura fredda sul fondo; la dimensione reale della casseruola di agnello non corrispondeva alla foto, un pezzo di agnello molto piccolo, grande come la mia unghia, così sterile che non c'era affatto carne, e per 12 euro? Che furto! Le melanzane erano ancora più confuse: come studenti internazionali, potremmo buttare qualche fetta di melanzana in pentola a casa e sarebbero meglio di questo ristorante. La zuppa di granchio e asparagi sul menu ha finito per essere una ciotola molto piccola, e i bastoncini di granchio usati erano di scarsa qualità e non erano carne di granchio ...... Mi sono sentito ingannato dall'inizio alla fine. Anche il cameriere era estremamente freddo. Un'esperienza molto, molto, molto povera, disgustosa al punto che ancora non riesco ad essere in pace una settimana...

The service here was REALLY REALLY bad. We ordered two dishes from the main course, with a starter. We had to wait more than half an hour to get these dishes, whilst the waiters were bringing already the dishes for customers who came after us, and they ignored us completely, till we asked them if they had forgot the order. It is a shame that they did this to us, as the quality and price wasn’t so bad. They neither said any greeting words „Grazie“ or „ciao“ when we were going out, nor they apologized us. The only reason we can think of was that, again, we were asian and tourists(non Chinese), and the other guests were westerners. (But surely there must have been a lot of tourists around) I’m not suggesting to go to other restaurants if you aren’t non Asian tourists, but they might do such things to you deliberately, if they don’t like you....

Had dinner in a typical order starting with a soup, appetizers then a main course and a dessert. I had crab and tofu soup which is normal. Veg Spring rolls with there spicy sauce is best. For main we had tagliatelle with beef, fried rice with chicken & curry and chicken in the hot pot. Chicken in the hot pot is my favourite and othe main courses also good. For dessert we had tried ice creams. It is as big as a base ball / cricket ball. Menu is well organised and sorted based on type (for ex chicken, beef, pork, seafood etc), so easy to choose according to the preference. The place gets crowded after 8 30. It's better to order everything at once. We made a mistake of ordering appetizers then main course and then dessert. It was served little late as the place got...
