Caffè Toraldo — Restaurant in Naples

STAY AWAY - total rip off and bad service. We sat down wanting some nice aperitivi but when we asked for a menu the waiter just listed a number of drinks. We chose a lemon spritz and an unalcoholic mocktail - €16!!!! The worst was before we even paid or got any of the drinks he demanded a tip! He stood over us saying tip, tip until my husband produced something. Then when we were only part way through our drinks he came back to say he was closing in 5min. My husband had to down his spritz fast (not ideal!!) would NOT recommend. Just go literally...

We didn't know anything about this place, just needed a quick cappuccino so we stopped in and had counter service. Honestly we had a pleasant experience, the barista was nice, fast, and the cappuccino was great.

Only later did I look this place up to see so many bad reviews and complaints about service.

We knew sitting down is usually an extra charge in Italy, so counter service was fine for us as we were on the go. So I can only speak to the quick counter service. If you need a quick coffee at the counter, this place is very...

Worst customer service with the old man at the cashier. We came to get gelato after paying we went to sit outside and they ask to pay 2 euro to sit outside while it was empty!! Never seen a place that charges to sit outside and the old guy didn’t even tell us. I said I will sit outside and obviously he doesn’t understand English he comes outside screaming I asked you if you wanted to sit outside like dude I was with my daughter what did you think. No customer service or brain.
