Can't do zero stars but I would if could. Terrible restaurant. "Typical Italian/Napolitano" is a joke of a statement. Let me start....they don't use heating so restaurant is cold. Staff are miserable, don't have any interest in customers and have no hospitality experience. I have worked for 9 years in a 4star hotel in Ireland and head waiter in the restaurant. (As anyone knows Ireland has very high standards for hospitality). Ordered our food (Parmigiana & bruschetta to start, pastas dishes to follow, one was a tomato pasta with meat sauce so they called it). Waiter walked away from table into the kitchen and walked back out with our starters....less than 30 seconds to prepare a "fresh parmigiana...in the menu it is fried then baked.....but only took 20 seconds to make???). OBVIOUSLY COLD AS NOT FRESH OR FRESHLY MADE. Called waiter to ask if it was fresh or just cooked because it hit our table so fast. He laughed and called another waiter to talk about it. Then as he walked away....he stuck his fingers in the Parmigiana and came back to tell me..."it's not cold". I don't need to be told if my food is hot or cold....I know what hot food is. We didn't want another parmigiana and changed to mozzarella/prosciutto- hard to make a mess of that. Within 8 mins of the starters.....the second plates arrived....the pastas. The pasta of tomato and meat sauce (beef)....actually consisted of penne pasta....with white dry meat and no sauce. I have never seen a Ragu/meat sauce that had dry beef dumped on top of pasta. Terrible. I'll also say....my partner is a chef. So to summarize.....nothing authentic.....terrible food....bad service and not even a goodbye when we left....as i said not a single interest in customers. THIS IS A TOURIST TRAP. reading the responses from the owner in other comments (that are rude telling customers they have no idea is proof of my point). I recommend looking around for restaurant that has Italian people eating in and not just tourists like this...
Read moreAfter walkingalong the street, I decided that I was gonna try this restaurant for my last night in Italy. Unfortunately, it ended with me at the brink of tears due to the treatment by one of your staff(pictured, from another Google review). At first, I dismissed him walking away when I got to the restaurant to him being busy. Then completely ignoring me at the door for close to 10mins, again, I assumed busyness. When he eventually spoke with me, in a cold and abrupt manner compared to how he spoke with others before me, he told me the wait time was 20mins.i was happy to wait. Until suddenly, when a couple came, I heard and saw him winking and saying to them, he'll arrange something and it'll be ready in 2mins.i watched the whole interaction. I decided to walk off when he actually gave this couple the table before me. Why? I also don't know. I really felt discriminated against. Sad way to end my trip.
His unprofessionalism also showed when he was making faces and shouting at his colleague who had dropped something as he was about to deliver...
Read moreWhat you see is what you get! Pizza only but in a very good quality. The fact that you have to wait outside any good restaurant (at least as a tourist) was also new experience for me. But after two quick beers which were kindly served outside, our table was ready and our pizza was on the table about 15 minutes later. No complaints about the service - they were fast and friendly. This is not a place to linger and chat - eat your pizza and leave! But that is acceptable if you are prepared for it. The most expensive pizza is 10 Euros and unfortunately the one I ordered. Be aware that the 'Stella' comes in a star shape topped and filled with various vegetables, ham and cheeses. I didn't expect that - I would have preferred a 'normal' pizza....
