We arrived without a reservation, got a table within 10 minutes. We then waited a bit to get menus, then another bit to get the order taken and then more for the food - overall food on the table in more than 1 hour since arrival. Too much, especially since for us it happened to be a late lunch somehow and we were not advised on the waiting time. Others took pasta nearby and for pasta they waited same as us. The menu is very wide, lots of fish, lots of pasta. We had a mixed grill with meats, a salt and the mussels. The food was just decent, nothing spectacular. The salad was medium sized for the 6 euro. The mixed grill meat had small beef cut, big chicken and pork and another one which seemed processed somehow. The mussels were very small meat and average flavour, expensive at 10 eur. The water in the menu is 2 euro for 1 liter, they put on the table bottle at half liter and charge the 2 eur for each bottle, so 4 euro per liter. Overall 50 euro including 6 euro coperto, a bit much since we drank only water. The...

What really impressed me was the hospitality. I initially entered Da Fofo just to ask if I could use the bathroom. The staff was kind and welcoming without hesitation. Shortly after, I decided to order something, and Luigi truly nailed the spirit of warm Neapolitan service.
I enjoyed a perfectly made cappuccino and a fresh bite from their classic rosticceria. The flavors were genuine and the quality was very good. Outdoor seating adds to the pleasant experience, making it a nice place to pause during a walk through Vomero.
Da Fofo is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for great service, traditional tastes, and a comfortable corner to...
Read moreIf you’re in the Vomero neighbourhood and want some really good, home style Italian food then this place is perfect. We randomly choose it and turned up without a reservation and were seated straight away. Our host was working alone with a full dining room; small, but there was a big family of 10 and another couple of tables of 4 (all Italian) plus us (2) so he had his hands full but he was warm, welcoming and a total gentleman the whole time. The food was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. I had the fettuccine ragu with ricotta - totally delicious, my partner had the seafood risotto and it was also amazing. This was a low key family style place with lots of soul, no gimmicks just great food. The house wine was also really nice. Would...
