Foria 46 Beer And Burger — Restaurant in Naples

FOR CELIACS AND GLUTEN FREE FELLAS * I came to this place because I wanted to try something different from the usual pizza place or restaurant; it was a good choice. The area is part of the old town so a bit noisy and neglected but definitely easy to reach. The place inside is, on the other hand, nicely designed in modern-urban style. A bit unusual for Napoli. Hamburger and parmigiana were really good, the highlight of the meal! The tiramisù was more of an icecream tiramisù flavoured. What was a bit disappointing was the potatoes (a bit hard and too oily) and the cinghiale salami... looked like a cheap one you can find in any store. Beer was good. After five days of straight and delicious Italian food, it was time for a break. We chose Foría 46 because it was close to my friend's hotel and I met her there. After dark, this is an... interesting... neighborhood and maybe it's just me, but I would suggest women not walk alone.

We were warmly greeted at the restaurant and directed downstairs where we were seated immediately. Our waitress helped with the wifi and we checked out the menu.

Fried pickles to start were delicious and served quite hot. I chose the basic burger which comes with cheese and bacon and pickles/lettuce/tomato. Ketchup was added and we were rocking along.

Unlike other coeliacs, I didn’t have a great experience at Foria 46. I had the Duomo burger. It tasted incredibly bad because of the bacon being completely burned. Also the burger was very tasteless, it was missing any kind of sauce. It seems cheap at first but it doesn’t come with fries, you have to order them separately for €5 extra. My girlfriend had the crunchy breaded chicken burger, which was also not great. The cheese tasted weird and it was overall not a great burger either.
