Il Caffè di Toraldo — Restaurant in Naples

After ordering and paying ourselves at the counter, and bringing the order to the table ourselves, as we start eating the waiter approaches us saying we need to pay 2 euros for service as we are sitting down, even though we have served ourselves. He then proceeds to go to the other table and laugh about tourists as he waits for us to collect the two euros. Clearly tourist tax and do not recommend coming here. Did not receive any service for the two euro besides them coldly taking our plate away. Toilet is dirty, wet floors, no toilet paper or lock on the door. Only bright side was a good pastry, but if you must eat here...

I don’t normally write reviews like this, but the whole experience of this place was poor. If you are in Naples, avoid this cafe. The staff were really rude, bored and did not want to help anyone there whether you were a tourist or local. One staff member served my food with his hands and not even on a plate. The seating area was filthy with pigeons and rubbish on the tables. The food was edible but the coffee was bad. Given the amazing food in Naples I was annoyed that I wasted a meal here just because it was close to the bus station. Do yourself a favor and bypass ...

Coffee is amazing. Genuinely one of the nicest cups I’ve had. Had a pastry and it was delicious also - everything else looked super. Service was the best ever - a man who services the outside area and he was so kind, so helpful, and incredibly nice. Such a lovely hidden gem - very close to the train station also - would recommend it to anyone to try it...
