We stopped by for a quick dinner while on holiday in Naples.
It had been a long day (pompeii!) and we just needed somewhere close to eat - and this place was right opposite the station and had decent reviews so we thought we'd give it a go.
it's quite unassuming from the outside and you have to be a bit brave crossing the road to get to it.
Inside it's nice enough, if a bit basic. Service was very friendly and welcoming to our family.
My elder daughter avoids gluten, so it was great that they were able to make her some lovely gluten free pasta.
I had the meat calzone, which was delicious.
My youngest had a margherita pizza and...wow...it was amazing.
We spent a week in Italy eating pizza & pasta twice a day and this pizza was the best we had all week...and quite likely the best I've ever had. Great flavour in the sauce....but the base was just beautiful...light, but firm, not too chewy...just perfect.
Wanted to make it back to try a pizza myself, but it didn't happen...maybe...

The pizza? Bellissimo. Crisp base, saucy personality, and toppings that know how to party without overwhelming the vibe. Honestly, if this pizza were a person, Iād swipe right and send it a āu up?ā text at 2am.
The service? So friendly it made me question whether Iāve just been going to emotionally unavailable restaurants my whole life.
Verdict: It may look like the kind of place where the Mafia might meet (and hey, whoās judging), but once youāre in, youāre family. 11/10 would awkwardly hover at the door again before realizing Iām about to have one of the best pizza...

Restaurant is outside Naples station- again not the sort of place you would expect great food. We got places immediately and were served by a delightful waitress who spoke English. Cold beers and iced cold water for drinks. You access the menu via a QR code but the order thankfully was taken by the waitress. I donāt care much about pizzas in general, BUT I ate every scrap of my wonderful Napulitana. Also ordered were the peperoncina, and two āgrottosā: original and the meatballs. All four of us argued that our pizza was the best! The waitress was attentive and informative. She also suggested that we could use the chilli oil- my husband loves heat on pizzas. In truth, the food required nothing to be added. No room for dessert. Walked away...
