A tourist trap. I would not recommend especially since there are better alternatives close by.
First with the positive. It is well located in a nice plaza in the historical center of Naples. The waiters were okay and the service quick, although there weren't many people. The wine was good.
Now with the negative. It is clearly over priced for the region. I would say 1.5x the price of adjacent restaurants. The issue is that no matter the price, the food was bad. Our bread with mozzarella and pomodoro was a joke. There was almost no mozzarella, the little pieces in the plate were hard and "chewy", felt like supermarket cheap version. The bread was dry. The tomatoe or "pomodoro" was hardy visible on the bread. The other dish, the salami, felt also very average and had...
Read moreJamòn is in a good location on one of the squares in Naples with plenty of outside seating. We initially stopped here with the idea of having a drink before finding somewhere else for dinner, but decided to stay and eat after enjoying the small tapas that came for free along with our drinks. The Moscow mule was very good coming with fever tree ginger beer and the wines we tried were all very nice. To eat we had the chefs pairing tapas for 2. This was very tasty made largely with local ingredients. The lemon cannoli for dessert was one of the best I've tried. The waiter was very friendly and helpful giving suggestions and a good explanation of the ingredients used...
Read more(French version below) I ordered the specialty of the chef 18 euros for 9 bites of bread with ham or cheese. First, very small quantity served I have ever seen. All is served with a dry bread, not even toasted. Orange juice is served with a lot of ice, reducing dramatically quantity served. Second, quality is just an excuse for high privés... The wine was not that good, ham not exceptional... I told the boss I was surprised of the small quantity, he gently offered us bread with tomato bread, but unfortunately, it doesn't changed m'y opinion. Don't make the mistake to come to Napoli and eat tapas which are spanish.
