My partner and I visited this establishment a few days ago whilst in Napoli. We asked to be seated inside as it was an extremely hot day. After being seated for roughly 15 minutes and pressing the call button numerous times to no avail, my partner walked up to the bar to give them our order. We were told it was table service and someone would be with us shortly. It was disappointing as there wouldn’t have been more than 10 people seated inside or outside during our visit so service should not be this slow. The waiters were not overly cheerful/somewhat abrasive and were not attentive at all. After they finally took our order we were given a basket of bread with olive oil etc although we weren’t brought any plates so I’m not sure how we were expected to eat this bread as there would have been oil all over the table if we tried. My partners pasta was brought out fairly quickly which she started eating. 10 minutes after she had finished eating, so roughly 15/20 minutes after it was delivered to our table, my pasts finally came out. Usually in restaurants, both meals are brought out at the same time so you can eat together. Food was pretty average but the pricing was fair for what was ordered. Such a shame the service was so poor as this is the main driver for this poor review. I would not return here. After reading some of the other negative reviews and the unprofessional/combative responses from the owner threatening legal action, I would suggest that this energy would be better served by putting more effort into training the staff to make this experience more enjoyable. Read moreTerrible service!! Rude waiters, who don’t care. One of the worst coffee houses i ve ever been to in Italy . Stay away.
After the owner rudely responded ( below) to my review let me add some more to the ‘experience’. I don’t understand what the owner is referring to, we were a family having breakfast… no fried pizzas from another shop ( would NEVER DO THAT) I speak Italian. Staff doesn’t speak English ( fine with me, you can always balance it with a smile) We ordered fresh orange juice. waiter told us there is no fresh orange juice, after kept bringing fresh orange to other tables left and right. After 20 minutes i told the waiter pls scrap our soda order and add 2 more fresh orange juices. Mind it, we had enough time to do this because we have been sitting and waiting for 30 minutes. When paying 28€ for 2 coffees, 2 orange juices 2 croissants and a crepes i looked at the bill and it OBVIOUSLY had the 4 € charge for a soda AS WELL. Also their bathroom has no lock, toilet paper or soap. How lovely! I d be interested how their waiters wash their hands. To the owner: Instead of replying back in a rude manner educate your staff. Their only English knowledge is ‘5 minutes’. This is how we ended up waiting for our orders to arrive cca 30 minutes. Still think it’s a terrible experience…. And now you all see that the owner’s rudeness alines with the staff’s...
Read morePlace was dirty, staff were unfriendly, & when we asked for a table they tried to scam us & say it was €4 for a table because they obviously thought we were tourists.
EDIT in reply to owner:
I know quite well how things work in Italy. We ordered our food at the counter & it was given on a plate. When we asked if I could have a table outside I was told "i'm not sure I think you may need to pay" & the other guy at the till said "yeah it's €4." Why didn't the guy who charged us include that in the bill? We weren't asked if it was for takeaway or eat on premises, so of course we felt like they were trying to fool us out of money. So I took it for takeaway instead, I didn't try to take a table (obviously you confused me with someone else you tried to scam).
As an owner you must ask yourself: why do so many bad reviews say the exact same things? Because you consistently provide bad service. ...
